Travelling home after BA ?????

Hi girls I have my op in highgate next Tuesday and live about a 3 and a half hour drive from the hospital! And I’m in for a day case. I wasn’t aware that you suppost to stay in a hotel near by to the hospital I was just planning on travelling home. I have been advised by a few girls to stay in a hotel . But I was jusAABfttt wondering did anyone have a day case and travel home after living far away ? I will stay in a hotel if I have to but I would rather go home to my 10month old little boy as I’m a single mummy and I’m never away from him so being away from him for just the day will be hard enough xx

I think they would prefer you to be close by for the first few hours,with you living such a distance from the hospital,ring your PC,see what she advises honey,have you not got someone that could stay at the hotel with you,a close friend or family member,then you could bring your little boy and see him as soon as you get back to the hotel,if you have support.xxx

I have a friend looking after him during the day at my house And another friend is driving me to and from the hospital. My little boy dosent know my friend that is driving me that well so don’t think it would be a good idea leaving him all day With my driver as he wouldn’t settle !! I will ring my pc and see what she says !! Thanks for the advise xxxx
