trust it to be me…….!! infected!

I’m 4 weeks post op after havin a BA nd lift with mr russo all was goin so good then all of a sudden this morning I notice there was like a pussey mark on my steri strips on both scars underneath boobs in the same so place so me bein me panic’d nd foned the nurse nd I emailed her ova some pics and she said yup there infected! So she managed to get a prescription faxed 2 a chemist near my work nd had 2 go 2 the clinic for her ta put a dressing on I Oh and the cheek of it they charged me £9.50 for antibiotics now I’m not tight but I’ve just paid £5,500 for this nd now there chargeing for for these I was not amused at all. Ill stop moaning now xill try and load a pic if I can. X

Oh no lolly, what a nightmare! Well hopefully the antibiotics will get on top of the infection asap! Xx

Hopefully nicdev1!! Just slows down the healing process. I thought I had escaped them big arse bandages but noooo there bk on till tuesday nd I have ta go bk for her ta check them! Xx

Join the club Hun, I’m 4 week po on Monday, goin back to clinic tmrw for my 3rd lot of antibiotics, the infection is on each nipple n already turned into a big scar it’s awful. I went back to the hospital were I had it done last sat to c my surgeon n she gave me antibiotics, then yest morning I got a letter charging me for them! Like Fook I’m paying!!! Hope your better soon hun n yours clears up quicker tgan mine xxx

Oh n I got told to leave dressings on but the green holes wasnt getting any smaller, so I left em off overnite n they dried out.xxx

Ohh noo!! 3 lots of antibiotics! Wowza! How much they charged u for them? I fink I’m going to rinmg my pc and just say I’m not happy habving to pay for them after all I didn’t pay for the medication after my op wen I left hospital so…or ill say is that covered in the price I payed!as if we haven’t paid enuff for the procedure and all the ova post nd pre op bits nd boobs! Haha ya like that boobs in stead of bobs! Lmfaoo I’m so sad I find stupid fings like that funny ! So wat did ur surgeon say then? Don’t u fink it feels so weird when u ave nothing on then! I get scared!I just feel like ewwwww coz I tried so hard keepin the dressins clean nd dry then this happends! Fingers crossed we’ll be healed in no time bouncing about! Woop woop! X

Haha wat u like!!! Yeah I was mega paranoid takin it all off but boobs av been dressing free for bout 4 days now n u no wat they’re healing so much better, My scars r just really thin pale lines I’m so impressed. They sent a letter chargin me £3, I no it’s not much at all but I was furious! Jus spent nearly 10 grand on surgery n I’m Bein charged for meds. No way!!! It should all be free afterwards after all it happens, it’s no 1s fault! Yeah I can’t wait to b normal again! The infection well worried me, n I was same as u, fookin trust it to happen to me!! Haha xxxx

After my one week check with MYA when the strips came off I used Savlon Wound Wash Spray on my scars, every morn, after every shower and b4 going to bed. It was a godsend and i got no infection – MYA did advise against using anything on the scars but i was so paranoid about getting an infection.

To the ladies above so sorry to hear your have got infections – hope the anti biotics sort you out.

As for being charged for prescriptions – is that not included in the aftercare package?????

Reecara to be honest I’m a lil disapointed with the size coz they just keep strinking and I had overs so no chance of them getting anybiger but mario did a faab job with the lift and shaping his truly amazing and I haavent heard a bad word about his work! I just wish I had a lil bigger! Xx

Hey 2cuks well mr russo likes his patients to wear the steri strips for 3months after the op to help give a nice scar which is a lil annoying coz there covered all the time : / hmmm I fink I might give that wash a whirl ill see how the anitibiotics go nd hope it clears up quickly! Its just really annoying coz it means I have to change the strips everyday! Nd I have to buy them myself!I haven’t brought any yet but ill ave ya ave a looky online me tinks! Good thinkin batman ill phone my pc and check with her about the after care package and what’s included. Thank u girlies xx

hey lolly, i had Mr Russo but the nurse told me i can soak off the steri strips the week after my first check up and then leave them off after that. I better call the nurse later to make sure she has given me the right info lol

Cuks, i was ganna use your advice and use the savlon spray wash after the steri strips come off. i cant see it doing any harm and i would feel so much better knowing i have antibac protection after showering etc

I’ve been using that cuks I got it wen u mentioned it wen I did a thread bout my infections. Well I went back to clinic today n the nurse told me that the big green oozing hole on my boob is NOT infected. The biggest load of shite I’ve ever heard. Its an absolute mess. So I’ve jus got iodine on it now n a dressing. The manager of the clinic saw it, it not happy that I didn’t get swabbed or anything so now I’ve got to make yet ANOTHER 45 min drive to the clinic to see my surgeon. Oh n pay a fiver parking outside too. Arghhhhhhhh!!!!!

I told the manager I got charged for antibiotics too & she said mya cover the cost of them.
