I’m getting so nervous and worrying….how do you get through the nerves?!! I’m even starting to think whether I really need the surgery snd whether lipo would do and I can live with stretch marks caused by child birth
I also don’t seem to be getting much support from my PC who likes to ignore my emails and is never available when I call
Hi you really have to decide is this what you want ? It is a big decision to make , regards to your pc phone the actual clinic and see if you can get some answers x x
Hiya, I had a tummy tuck and BA a week ago today. I didn’t have any stretch marks but quite a bit of loose skin and my belly button was messed up so tummy tuck was the only option for me. Honestly it wasn’t half as bad as I had expected. I did get the last minute nerves too, thinking whether I really needed it or not but I knew I’d regret it forever if I didn’t.
It’s totally up to you though! It is a big operation. I saw my tummy for the first time today and I can’t believe how much of a difference it’s made!
I’ll post my story up later so you can have a look at that too, might make you feel less nervous
Thank you girls, I know I will regret it emicr if I don’t do it but I’m so scared I’m such a wimp !! Can I add you xx
good luck hun, its a major thing to be going through, and everyone gets nervous. no point in keeping on thinking ‘what if?’ while its booked and paid for, enjoy it
xx
You’re bound to be scared, I was too, honestly though it’s not half as bad as you’d think. I found my c-section was 10 times worse for pain and recovery than my tummy tuck, which is the main thing I was terrified of. You’ll be fine!
I’ve just accepted you now~
Sounds too good to be true
I didnt have a c section with either of my children so I have no idea in comparison, but I do have friends who have had them and they seemed to recover really quickly (but I suppose you have to when you have a baby to care for!)
I am petrified of the drains being taken out, and the embarassment of having to ask my hubby to help shower me.
Is your garment an all in one, or a corset style? xx
Thank you joannabella
I do get butterflies thinking about it too so I must be a little excited, but fears and nerves are taking over at the moment!! xx
Go for it, it’s amazing. Best thing ever….ever…ever. Xx
once you have had it you will laugh at the worries you had, honestly. i had a BA on monday and worked myself up so bad i almost backed out, but on the day i was so calm and collected, even the thought of the GA didnt faze me (that was my main worry before), and even after a reaction to it, i will never look back now xx
Haha yeah, I’ve recovered so much quicker from this than my c-section, I was so suprised! I’m not allowed to shower or bath for another week but considering how well I’m feeling already I don’t think I’ll need any help showering when I am allowed!
They take the drains out so quickly it’s over and done with in a second so don’t worry about that~
They gave me a corset one at the hospital but Dr Traynor said he’d prefer me to just wear support pants, the ones that go up to just under your boobs. I got mine from primark, really cheap and do the job just as well as my garment! xx
Thanks for your replies I feel much more positive… Just hope it stats that’s way
xx
