uh-oh!

i have my op in 2 DAYS and i am so sure i’ve got/i’m getting a cold! (typical!) i’m gonna be so upset if i can’t get it done on friday 😥

stupid question but has anyone got any tips on keeping a cold away?? 😐 xxx

i don’t have anything chick ‘cos i’m at work 🙁 the only thing i have is strepsils! hah. i’m gonna nip home on my lunch break & grab some paracetamol! also, gonna have a hot bath and early night tonight. goshhh, i hope i’m not getting a bad cold :confused: xxx

I had a cold all last week and still had one when i got to the hospital on Moday. They went ahead with the Op and made sure that i had antibiotics when i left.

I was told that they will not go ahead if they think that it is to risky. Speak to your PC and nurse they will advise you on what to take.

I drank lots of hot lemon drinks and eat lots of fruit, get your vit c levels up.

Dont worry too much im sure everything will be fine!

awww, thank you so much babe! :bigsmile: that’s great that they still did your op! i thought if you were the slightest bit poorly they would just delay it & that would be the worst ‘cos the timing of my op at the moment fits in perfectly!

i’m drinking tea after tea after tea! haha. trying to keep having lots of warm fluids. i’ve got an apple with me at work, but i’ll have some more fruit when i get home. xxx

They will delay it if they think that you are too ill. I was waiting to have my op for so long and when i got there i was so scared that they wouldnt do it! I have no other time off work and couldnt book anymore ( next years holidays are taken up by my wedding).

I spoke to the MYA nurse and she gave me advice. Speak to them, at least then they know how you are feeling to.

my left side is still quite bad, very tender and not too good, bit worrying but i think its all normal, i moved my app from today to friday so i’ll see how i am by then x x
