Under or over?

hi i have my consultation tomorrow or BA, and i really dont know weather to have unders or overs i know i have to wait until i talk to a surgeon but what do you guys prefer? what are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

its upto your surgeon what you have hun not you. if you have no breast tissue ull have to go under the muscle as the implant needs covering more, which is more pain and takes a week or so longer to heal. if you have enough breast tissue yull go over the muscle, and they say its about a weeks worth of pain. altho its not so much pain its more aching and a feeling of stinging like sun burn xx

have you del, how exciting !oh ok thanks leanne.. my friend had hers done 4 weeks ago she was hardly an A before but because her skin was stretchy they let her get away with having it over…i do have breast tissue but also my bones in my chest stick out a bit so my boobs seem to be lower? a first i was thinking under but ive just read online about them and im opting for over now…ahh! i guess ill just have to wait and see, thank you x

Yeah the surgeon decides for you, if you have enough tissue to cover the implant then they prefer to do overs to unders i think as unessacary to go under. Although you might be one of the lucky ones and get a choice, then i’d defo go for overs because you lose some of the size with unders and also they are much more painfull to recover from xx

Hi girls I had overs and had very little breast tissue at all, dr singh still managed to get 460s in me lol xx

Nikki when did you start being able to squeeze and move yours around? I keep poking and proding them but i’m a bit scared of messing them about too much too early, is it just if it feels comfortable to do or should i really be waiting 6 weeks before i start touching them too much? xx

hi melissajordan, i had overs as that was what my surgeon recommended for me, and i’m very happy with them. Just noticed that you have sent me a friend request so will accept so you can see my pics x

Hey girls. My surgeon gave me the choice. He gave me pro’s and con’s for both to help me decide.

He said with unders they are more painful and take longer to heal but they are also less likely to sag later on in life, he also said there is less chance of capsular contraction as the muscle helps massage the implant and also less likely to ripple.

Overs are less painful, quicker healing time and you can get a better clevage with them over the muscle. xxx

suzp, i noticed them really starting to soften from the 2 week mark, from then on they softened daily, i think i could push them together about 20 days post opp, now im 8 weeks i feel like i got a new toy, im always poking them and pushing them round lol xx

Just been advised by Mr K to have unders (surprising since I am a 34B with some boobage already), think it’s because I want a more natural slope?!

Im having unders, one of the reasons being that I’d prefer them from a screening point of view, later in life. I have a history of BC in my family, so wanted to have unders to help make sure any screening is not affected as all of the breast tissue is in front of the implant. Mr K said he cant guarantee but it just gives me a little more piece of mind etc.

Also, I want a more natural slope as Ive got little boobage tissue!

oooohhh… i was almost decided on overs, but Fairydust u’ve just made me think twice…. hmmm, dont want them to sag or ripple after a few years….

katlouise01 im really strugging on overs and unders lol i got offered 410 overs but im going back nbext week to see my dr to discuss unders i think there better in the long run xx

natalie88 yeah i think im going to go back n see dr adamo and ask more questions about overs / unders! dont think i found out enough info on my first consultation with him to make my mind up for definite… i’d like to see a portfolio of unders and compare them to overs as well, just to see the physical differences… xxx

This is quite a good website to see the difference between unders and overs. I now see why Dr Kazzazi suggested unders for me, because I want a natural shape x

omg katlouise01 honestly im exactly the same i really dont know what to do i want the more natural look ive been offerd 410 overs apparently my dr doest do big implants under the muscle i think he may only offer 300 cc something like that and i dont wanna boob job with 300cc i dont think it would make much difference on me, i should have asked more questions on my consultation lol x

ok after looking at tht link i deffo think under but i want atleast 380cc lol x

oh gawwwd – that link has now made me lean more towards unders!! lol the more i think about it the more confused i get…. what does bottoming out mean? it says thats more common in overs…. natalie what are ur stats, u look similar to me?

I’m 5ft5, 8.5 stone and 32b…. want to be a large full c cup, but i know they cant guarantee ur definite cup size… dr adamo said with 310 overs i would be a large c / small d…. so im thinking with unders i’d be best with about 350cc??..
