unders and day case????

Hi girls im booked in for my BA but not till July can anyone tell me if im booked in for a day case,can i have unders? or do they have to me overs? i have been given the option of both, but since i have decided to go just as a day case just wondered if this is possible? xx

oh ok thanks thats a huge help not gna let them fob me off then or try and make me pay more….i have been given the option for unders or overs its up to me, speaking to girls on here they dont normally have the option but i have :S dont know why?? goldfish and nessy213 whats made u go as day cases? xxx

u save 400 quid. if somethings goes.wrong or they arent happy to let u leave hosp they keep u free anyway. also i want to be with my bf hate the thought of being alone.plus my bf will take care of me xxx

i was given the option to have unders or overs as Dr Kazzazi felt i had enough breast tissue. If the Dr feels you have very little or no breast tissue u will only be able to have unders but if you have an adequate amount you can have a choice. just do your research on both and ensure when u make ur decision its an informed one.

personally i chose unders i no its a longer more painful process but when Mr K gave me the pros and cons there were soo many pros to unders.

i chose a day case as the overnigh stay was too much for me but i am staying in a hotel (in doncaster which is less than 1 mile away.

and hun july will fly by and atleast u will have been prepared x x x

july will be er sooo soon i booked.my op in nov and thought it would be a life time, but.only 6wks today. getting scared now! ! xx

bet ur so excited goldfish!! i know yeh cant wait on countdown atm im with dr kazzazi aswel he says i have enough breast tissue for unders or overs but he didnt go through pros and cons will have to see him before my op get him to go through it with me. and also i am booked in for a day case but im coming home after….io wasnt told u had to stay near the hospital

if i was to have unders do you know how long u will need off work i have booked 10days off atm xx

Hey laurajayne…I had unders with Dr. Kazazzi and I’m 5 days post op. To be honest the healing process really isnt that bad. I’ve been up and about doing normal things as long as I take it slower than usual it’s fine. There are more pros to going with unders so dont let the longer healing process put you off. It nearly did me but I’m fine and really haven’t been in pain haven’t touched a painkiller since day 3 and I know everyone says everyone experiences different things and that is true but I’m a real wimp! So you have nothing to worry about. I will put up pics after my 1 week appointment which is Friday…fingers crossed everything is ok!! x x x

I got given the option and decided to go for 410 unders with Dr K next Friday at Doncaster. I wanted to be a day case purely for the money. Like others have said, if u need to stay you will and wont get charged (touch wood). I only live about 30 miles from Donny, but was told i’d need to stay in a hotel. I think you have to go back the next day to get your drains out – could be wrong!! I have 9 days off work, but have a 2 year will need to be mobile asap (thank god for nursery)!

PC basically told me i definitely needed an overnight stay, but not to sounds too horrible i think they work on commission so would get more. Dr K was like “fine, yes a day case it is”. Not spoken to my PC since initial consult so don’t have much faith in her at all. She just wanted my money and for me to sign on the dotted line!

Fawn you are making me feel so much better, i’m good at taking things easy and slow! What size did you have and go from?

i have spoken to my PC today and she has said that once i have been discharged from my day case i will be free to go home i dont have to stay in doncaster at all xx

yeh i am i want unders i think yeh but im going to wait and speak to mr k again because he said i can have either so would rather him m ake the decision rather than me lol he’s the professional after all.
