Hey girls… I’m booked in to have 350cc Mod + overs! I’m 5ft9, currently a 34A/B and hoping to end up a D. Now I’ve met with Mr Traynor and had time to think about our consultation I keep thinking of all these questions I maybe should have asked. What is the difference between having them under or over the muscle? Does anybody know? xx

Your surgeon will decide whether to go over or under the muscle depending on how much breast tissue you have. I’m not sure what the over all result difference is with over and unders I just know that that’s how your surgeon will decide 🙂 I am having unders as I don’t have much breast tissue! Xx

Yeah I fully trust the surgeon’s decision, its just so overwhelming that i feel like i didn’t ask him enough, the excitement is getting to me haha! How long is it until your surgery? I’m in 3 weeks on Tuesday!! xx

I felt this too! So I booked a second consultation with him as I was debating about mod+ instead of moderates, I’m glad I went back as he answered all my doubts and questions! Mine is 3 weeks on Friday 🙂 I can’t wait. Haha yeah It feels like ages away but I hope the next 3 weeks goes quick for us! Xx

Have you decided which implants to go with now? Haha me too really hoping the next 3 weeks flies by for us too!! I’m just going to get all prepared and start buying things like sports bra’s and a v pillow etc! Just got a v pillow from Argos for £10 if you were looking for one i thought that was cheap!! xx

Yeah I stuck with moderates as they fitted me best and would give me personally a better result! 🙂 eeeeek, I have been recommended asda sports bras, you can get a 2 pack for £7 apparently they are really good! I haven’t thought about a v pillow tbf but I think I will definitely invest in one now! Sleeping upright a going to be very uncomfortable.. I’m so used to sleeping on my front! Haha xx

My surgeon told me that overs have more movement than unders, overs also feel more natural than unders acording to my surgeon.
I put this to the test and mine do feel more natural than my friend whos had unders xx

    Hope this helps. Xc

At least you’re set now on what you want Amber 🙂 I’m the same I’ve made my mind up and sticking with it now… Or trying to haha! I’ve bought the front fastening one from Asda for £8 but not seen the pack of 2, are they a zip front? I sleep on my front too so it’s defo gonna take some getting used to!!

ALB that’s great to hear as I’m aiming for the more ‘natural’ look so it’s assuring to know why my surgeon has chose to go over the muscle! Thanks for your help xx

i think it is these! my pre op nurse was the one who recommended me them, she said they had a bit of cross stitch but they wouldn’t irritate the incisions or anything so they are fine to use! 🙂 xx

I’ve had a look at implant distortion clips or smth like that.. Basically if you work out, when you do the chest your implants move apart towards your armpits. Looks odd.. And if you don’t go to the gym and are quite thin- under the muscle is the best option. But if you work out your upper body apparently it can distort the placement of the implant over time. I’m no body builder by far, but it’s worth baring that in mind.
Also, of you go under the muscle, it will look much smaller than if the same size implant goes over the muscle.
So if you tell the surgeon what look you want and what activities you do, he will advise what to go for.
