Unders or overs, very confused….want a natural look that unders are more likely to provide but don’t want a long painful recovery as i play sport. I’m 36B at the moment, tall with an athletic build, don’t want to go too big but want to be more in proportion

what sport do u do? sometimes if u go to gym alot and use ur upper body, arms etc they will advise overs coz if u do alot of excersize with unders it can affect how the muscle is and implant lies..1 surgeon told me he would avoid giving hairdressers unders coz the constant arm movement with hairdryers etc…but as for the recovery i was told after the 1st week its about as painfull as overs, just the 1st week ur in more pain..prob best to speak to a few surgeons and get a few opinions xx

I’m biased as I had overs but if you’re a sporty person and not wanting a long recovery then defo overs x

You can get a nice natural look from either type, although most surgeons say unders give the best result for “natural”. What they offer you will depend on the amount of breast tissue you have and your chest/ rib cage measurements etc. Girls without much breast tissue are usually recommended unders. I’ve seen nice results from both types tbh so it’s just down to personal choice unless the surgeon specifies you can only have one or the other. It’s interesting about the effect of exercise on the implants, i didn’t know that x

I was not offered unders, when i asked my surgeon he thought overs would be the best option. I had already told him that i loved the gym, body attack, pump and running. He said my chest muscles were strong, one of the things about unders is that the pec muscles when flexed can distort the implant. I did not want to take that chance.

Thanks for comments girls, it’s good to get different opinions. I play netball so think I want to avoid unders to protect the muscle, hopefully i’ll have enough breast tissue to have overs that look natural. I saw someone’s pics that had anatomical shaped implants and they look so natural so i’m considering those now. I have heard storied of them turning round though so maybe they should be avoided to if you play sport?? I’m gona have a long list of questions for my surgeon haha!

its very rare the anatomicals turn…its down to how good ur surgeon is and how they are put in, how big the pocket made etc worth shopping around a few surgeons i think and get a few opinions xx

Hey, my body and lifestyle suited overs so dont have any comments on unders. I didnt like the idea of messing with the muscle, drains, fluffing etc.

But with the overs i have had no pain and the implant shape isnt visable at all..i stayed quite small 295cc so i will have a natural result. I think if you go for large impants the shape of them is better hidden with unders. xxx
