Hi girls, I had my op on Saturday, went bigger than expected to fill up my skin, and I barely move my arms without my pectoral muscles cramping, which I can honestly say is horrible. I know it’s meant to hurt, but just wondering how long it took others to feel like they could do a bit more, going to the toilet is a struggle, other than that I’m just achey which I can deal with. X

I do feel for you:( I’m day 5 post op and back in work. But this time I had overs. The muscle still twinge as I had them moved from unders this time. But there’s no way I would be back in work now if I had Unders again! Take it easy, I would also advise drinking protein shakes (don’t shake them yourself obviously lol). Protein is what repairs the muscle, so get loads of that in you.. Chicken, eggs, fish etc. easy recovery hun! Xx

I had unders 6 days ago and most of the pain is gone, just tightness and discomfort now. Im not needing pain relief now I just take it before bed in case It disturbs my sleep too much. I’ve been using my arms to wash my hair over the bath, do a bit of tidying up etc but I ache later on! Im just taking it as easy as I can but I’m back at work this afternoon so I imagine I’m gonna be quite worn out later. Just think how fast your op came around your recovery will be over before you know it 🙂

I know. It’ll be over before I know, I’m feeling sorry for myself. The codeine is making me feel rubbish too which doesn’t help. I’m at my mums, and my parents are being great looking after my boys, think I’m just feeling useless when im so busy normally, so bloated too and we all know feeling fat never helps a situation. I’m going to have some eggs for lunch for my protein and hopefully I’ll be feeling a bit better tomorrow. Gosh, it’s awful, but worth it already!! X

Hey, I had partials, Day 5 I was completely off painkillers and starting to feel myself again even went out for a meal! I think it helps to walk about a bit rather than sitting in bed all day because you can seize up and the walking helps the swelling a lot I found, this was the best advise given to me by the nurse at the Fitzroy, the first couple of days will be tuff but it will get better!! xxx

@sashielou13 This first 3 full days I found really hard due to the mix of discomfort, lack of sleep, full on cold and my wisdom tooth deciding it was a good time to make a show however from day 4 it all got so much easier with the worst times being early morning and early evening. I did keep myself busy during the day and made sure I went out and about as much as possible, even just a walk to the shop and around the garden helped. I only had 350cc hp partials (not sure if that makes a difference) but I am 10 days post and feel almost back to normal. I can do most things but still can’t stretch and close the boot of a car. I am back at work tomorrow and feel 100% ready. My nurse said whilst u should not overdo things….it does help to keep light arm movements such as touching your nose with each hand every so often and small circular shoulder movements. Best advice I was given….that and not staying in bed all day or on the sofa. Sleeping is much easier too and although I was worried about my incisions from moving around, they are healing well. Good luck with your recovery and hope ypu feel better soon x

Thanks everyone, I’ve been up and about just walking up and down the garden this afternoon and I feel much better. Painkillers are taking away all pain and discomfort now apart from the odd spasm, so something’s obviously helped whilst walking about. I’m on a mission to the park with my boys tomorrow. Desperately need a shower already though! X
