im nearly 4 weeks po and can anyone tell me why we cant wear underwire bras ?????

Because they will irritate your scars which are unhealed as yet, and may prevent the implants from settling properly. Not worth it hun x

Oooohh no.. Someone’s started the underwire debate again. This can only end badly. I’m having my op done next weds and from all the clued up girls on here post ops advice it looks like they irritate and mess up your scars where they’re pushing against them. Personally I’d like to think I can wait til 6 weeks to wear one cos I’ve spent the last 10 years or so wanting them and would hate to mess up the scars for the sake of a couple of weeks. I guess it’s personal opinion and choice though at the end of the day isn’t it.xx

I waited 6 weeks, in fact i think i waited about 8 cause i was scared lol. But i found i didn’t need underwire anyway… the lovely new jubblies stayed up all by themselves. So long as you’re not bouncing around like a mad thing, you should be ok to go braless for a few hours instead of an underwire bra. Or some of the sports and non wired bras will fit nicely under your dress/ top without showing xx

I’m 2 months post op and trying on underwired bras for all of 10 mins gave me a pain in my incision sites. Don’t rush it, ladies! x

It was fine when I was wearing them, but a few mins after taking them off I started having some jip. Gonna see if I can find a softer, more flattering bra to wear rather than this sports bra. x

I’m 12wks po and I very rarely wear a underwired bra! I love my sports bra’s! Try Calvin Klein or londsdale for sort supportive bras withe slightly smaller straps etc xx
