Underwired bras!!

Hi girls!
Just wondered when everyone who has a had a BA started wearing underwired bras?! Because i’m sure i have been told 3 different things! My surgeon said 6 weeks, my PC said 8 weeks and my nurse said 3 months!!
I’m desperate to wear proper bras, i hate wearing these sports bras but i obviously understand i need to for a while!
Anybody any ideas!?

I’ve always been told 6 weeks. I wore one after 6 weeks with 1st BA and the same again with 2nd BA. x

I think it’s when you feel comfy wearing them.My surgeon said 6 wks but if i wanted to and felt comfy that it would’nt harm every now and then on nights out to wear them as long as i put the sports bra on when i got home,so after about 2/3 wks i wore them on and off and did’nt have any problems.I’am now 6 months post op and loving my new boob’s which are a 32ff!

Im only 8 days post op. Im going to ask my nurse but im sure its 8 weeks when you can wear underwired/lace bras. I honestly would not wear one until your supposed to especially not before the 6 weeks, theres obviously a reason you have to wear the sports bra and I was told strickly by my nurse to only take off the sports bra when washing and to put it back on pronto! You have paid all that money and you want them to be perfect!

I think it depends on the person – my surgeon told me there is no need to wear a sports bra if I didnt want to – so I havent and it has been great! (2wks post op now)

yeh same, i had mr adamo and he said i shouldnt wear a sports bra, im 8days post op, had my appointment yesterday and was tol i healed perfectly, so it does depend on the surgeon.

I had Mr Adamo too! He’s lovely!
He said i didn’t have to wear a sports bra if i didn’t want to…it was up to me..
but my nurse advised me to as I got quite big implants so i have…
i don’t think i would be able to go totally bra-less….my nipples are very soooore as it is
