Undissolved dissolvable stitch!

Hi,

I am 7 weeks post op and I still have a stitch that has not dissolved. In fact it’s kinda poking out of the scar now and I have already had one infection which went with some antibiotics. I am going to MYA on Wednesday to see the nurse, but just wanted to know what to expect….anyone else had anything like this happen? Other than this small problem, I am crazy about my boobs-I totally love them.I had 410 Overs.

hey hunny sorry to hear about this problem, but it is easily solvable, when you see the nurse she an simple remove it for you which you should feel pain with maybe just a little bit of pressure. or she will leave it to grow out on its own which it will do eventually, as you scar tissue pushes it out. x

Hi im 5 days post op and i have a stitch poking out side of my plaster keep finding myself wantng touch it as just there other than that wounds havent givenme any jibb will this dossolve?? x

yeah it will, takes around 2weeks for them to go propperly! dont touch it!!! remember that goes inside your scar, you dont want an infection x

I’m 5 weeks post op and the same has happened to me, the nurse was going to remove it but I’m stupid and seem to have built up a fear about stitches being removed so shes told me I can see how it goes over the next few weeks, the end ones are usually last to disolve. My nurse said it will find its way out on its own so I would rather wait for that haha i know its mad i’m worried of stitches but not a boob job. x
