    Hi All,
I’m nearly three months post opp. I had a reductive Mastopexy with implants. However, now my incisions have heeled, I can see there is a major difference in my two areola. One is considerably bigger than the other. It’s a little disappointing when you have the procedure and now I’m conscious over how odd they look.
    Anyone else experienced this?

One of mine is also uneven, one Breast is also a bit bigger too and I’m 4 months post op. Seeing the consultant for my follow up tomorrow to discuss a few things but just thought I’d say you aren’t the only one x

I hope mine aren’t going to be the same. I’m 11 days post op today so still have dressings on but am already getting paranoid that my left breast looks slightly higher and more rounded than my right! I know they need to settle into place but my left side looks how I imagined it to look. Right side still has bruising all at the side of my nipple. Really don’t want odd boobs when I’ve paid so much money to have them looking good 🤦‍♀️

@katieG what response did you have on your follow up? I’m coming up to a year post opp (I wanted to give plenty of time for heeling) but I have come to the realisation my scaring is quite bad and one nipple is considerably larger than the other? I’m going to call and arrange an appointment, did they suggest they would do anything at all to even them out at all? X

i’m 5 weeks post op and i’m so conscious of my
nipples now.. before i thought i had even nipples and i quite liked them! now i feel they are so so different and i feel so disheartened😔

Also i know it says 6weeks for them to completely drop and fluff but i feel my one is slightly bigger/lower, whether this is because the other hasn’t dropped fully? I wish I went bigger aswell as I asked for a full C/D cup from a B but they don’t seem that much bigger?

i just don’t know where to go from here, is there anything that can be done, I have my final check up with the nurse soon so i’m going to mention it to her..

Hi! I had an uplift with implants in March 2021, so mine have fully settled etc. However my left areola is considerably different to my right. It’s larger and narrower, making me totally self conscious. I have had follow ups and booked in another consultation and now my revision surgery has been approved but I haven’t heard anything since as dates haven’t been secured… my advice is to keep chasing for follow ups. I knew as soon as my surgery was done almost that my nipples looked different and even though your results change a lot especially in the first 2/3 weeks – 2/3 months, there’s not much change with the areolas, but that’s just what has happened with me xx

No you don’t usually have to pay for revision, providing its within the correct timeframe and they think it is a valid case, paperwork gets signed off etc!

My areola on my left brest is a very unusual shape I will need revision as no healing will fit it, I had my uplift without implants in may and I can’t wear a bra without my areola showing at the top, so I can tell I will need revision unfortunately, but I see my surgeon again in October so hopefully that gets all arranged then, apart from that I’m super happy with the results 🙂 xxx

Mine never improved once I was fully healed. Aerolas after surgery rarely change shape. If anything they get bigger especially if you’ve had an implant as usually they stretch xx

I had Mr Samouris, boobs are the same size and shape and the scars underneath are really “neat” but my nipples don’t look good. They are two different shapes and size, one doesn’t even look like a nipple ! But based on the reading it could be a risk irrespective of the surgeon. Maybe ask to see pics of your surgeons previous work ? X
