Thats shocking,i hope they read your post,i thought MYA stood out from the rest.

    Menu

Sarahjay it’s not on. You paid good money for your operation. I do know this time of year is particularly busy what with holidays and more appointments but thats still no excuse.

Phone them and if you get diverted to Newcastle tell them you need to speak to your nurse as a matter of urgency or you’ll be filling an official complaint.

I haven’t had a call from my pc atall! Didn’t get a call before my op or afterwards! The nurse did call me afterwards which was fine and my pc hasnt been well so that might be why, but I did think I’d get at least one call before and after. X

    Menu

Fair enough if they’re busy but they shouldn’t take on so many more patients if they can’t deal with the amount of patients they currently have the way they’re supposed to!!! Sorry girls I am so bloody annoyed now. :(

    Menu

Haven’t heard from my pc after at all!!! Talk about aftercare.

    Hi Honey

I haven’t had a call to see how I’m doing either since my op on Saturday, and I had the same issue before surgery- it took me 5 calls and 3 voice mails before i could get through to any one at MYA.

The customer service is absolutely appalling.

I would ask to speak to Anne Harrison- she is the only professional person who seems to care that I have spoken with thus far.

MYA should be ashamed of it’s self- this is major surgery and the least they could do is answer the phone.

Strange how they where so quick to chase advance payment, and quick to delete many many posts from this forum after my debacle, yet they seem completely unresponsive to their patients that have been operated on.

    Menu

I know I was about to say the exact same thing!! I had plenty of calls about booking a date and when I was going to pay!

This is such a big things for all of us and to not even get called by the nurse afterwards? It’s disgusting! Just told my mum she’s really upset by it. I’ve called Newcastle twice now left message but still nothing. I’m going mad with such a long list of things I want to ask I’m actually really getting upset now. Like we need this after an op?! :‘( xxx

    Menu

    Hi Sarahjay

I’ve just left a voice mail for Anne Harrison on your behalf (she is head of customer services). If she calls back would you like me to give her your number? In my opinion she was the only person who I’ve dealt with at MYA (other than MR F and the hospital staff at Highgate) who was genuinely helpful.

    xXx

sarahjay I think you need a cuddle. Ask your mum for a hug.

Things will get better chick, I know right now you can’t see the silver lining but it’s there and things will get sorted soon.

You have all of our support! Wishing you well chick.

Very disappointed with this. Im a pre-op and have my surgery in 6 days. Makes you feel like once they have your money they’re not bothered about the rest…

I’m really angry- If I knew they like that I would choose spire hospital in Havant-10min down the road from me. It was friends recomendation and 150 off was tempting too much- stupid me. I’m booked in for 6th may- so this friday. Since wednesday last week have been calling my pc, mya clinic etc. and left several voice msg too. Wanted to finally know what is my admision time etc. and ask for them to get me smaller implants too as I wasn’t happy with 525cc. No one phoned back.

Todasy after about 15 calls I did finally manage to find out what time I’m in. Not impressed with it all- lets hope the procedure will be problem free as

I have had just enough now!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Menu

forest thank u hunny (talking to u on text now hehe).

zolza and claireybabes i cannot stress how fantastic the hospital and my surgeon were, thank god the surgeon was how he was, im really really happy with how it went at the hospital, just the aftercare and after ive paid my money im really not very impressed with.

please girls dont let this put u off, i just had to get it out how i felt as sitting here after surgery its the last thing u want to feel that no one’s there for u when u were promised ‘amazing aftercare’.

most of the advice and care ive had is off the girls on this forum, i shouldnt feel i have to come on here for advice and help when there is supposed to be 24 hour aftercare. xx

    Menu

… Yes, Highgate staff and Dr Fallahdar were great… so the op and hospital stay went as well as one could possibly hope. But in my opinion the patient ‘care’ exhibited MYA is so terrible is begs belief. xX

    Menu

You’ve put yourself across really well Sarahjay. You were happy with Mya and their treatment right up until you left the hospital doors.

There’s no wonder you feel abandoned. Can’t you contact HQ through this website? You can speak to a MYA representative via the 1 on 1 I know that.

I hope this gets recognised by MYA though because they’re missing out a vital part of the package they’ve sold you.

    xx

I have just had a very pleasant call back from Anne Harrison at MYA, what a nice lady.

She said that they have had problem the past week with the phone systems and that they are really sorry. Hopefully they will fix the problems.

She was really thoughtful and caring in her tone.

Hopefully she will be in touch with you Sarah xXx

I’m hoping to book surgery sometime this week but having second thoughts because since my pc left at the end of March I have had no replies from my new pc, been told by someone else on here who has the same pc that she is now on holiday this week. Just thinking what it might be like if I have the op and no replies, it would be worse.x

Hey ladies i am getting a bit sick of hearing how bad MYA’s customer treatment is after they have your money.

I went with transform and by no means have i used this forum to “sell” them or anything as I know everyone has bad experiences with any company but just want to give them a bit of recognition when it is due.

i love this forum for all the adive and chat from you girls but Transforms aftercare is really fab…well the glasgow 1 has been for me!

I would def recommend you try them out when shopping about, some people have said they felt like they just wanted a booking, but at the glasgow office they actualy turned me away and said they didnt want me to book on my first visit, wanted me to go and really think about it first….

After surgery I even got sent a hope you have a speedy recover card etc from my pc which was lovely and had their logo etc on the back.

My PC/nurse are contanctable whenever (i am never off the phone lol).

My nurse called me the day after surgery to book my 1 week check up (went tonight everythings fine) and booked my 4 weeks check up with my amazing surgeon for end of the month.

Surgeons great, even remembers my mum who came to my 1st consultation hehe asked me how she was on my day of surgery bloody better than me haha shes not the ones about to lie on an operating table lol)!! He also emails my pc asking how i am who then contacts me etc.

Really pleased with everything so far……would go as far as saying 1st class.

Sorry if i didnt help much with the original post but really think MYA should buck up their ideas and even get more staff as they always seem to be busy. This is a massive deal to everyone and we expect to get the one to one service we paid for!!

Hope it all gets sorted very soon for you sarahjay.

My friend is booked in with MYA for next week and i really hope she doesnt have any problems either although she has not spoke to her PC since booking last month…arghhh xx

People, you dont need to be scared, Mistakes will happen sometimes, Its only emphasised cos of this forum. Other companies do not have a forum, If they did, im sure their would have been complaints on their too. I have had a fab experience with mya, and out of all the people on here, so have most.! the odd one will slip thro the net. No one has a 100% perfection rate, especially when very popular. I had to wait 6 weeks for my op, due to how busy my surgeon was,

Pleaae dont worry girls, mya are very good, and try to sort problems asap.

without mya we would not have this forum. xx

thats rubbish sarahjay. it must just b certain staff at certain clinics as im at the leeds clinic n had 2 calls to check on me in less than 2 wk. i had first one a couple of days after my op off the manager as my pc was on hol then i had 1wk check with nurse n today had a call from my pc but i missed it so av to ring her bk tomo.

you’d think all the staff would treat clients the same n actually care what happens afterwards or at least act like they do. hopefully ul get hold of them soon even though it should b them ringing u xx

Not at all fairy I wasn’t saying MYA are rubbish full stop like I said till I paid thy were lovely and I always got contacted by my pc… After that tho I always had to chase my pc. Nice hearing positive from u though!

And it’s funny u say Newcastle MYA have been great to u as they’re the place I always get diverted to!! Ur pc and clinic sounds fab, it’s a shame I can’t really say the same for the London clinic. Not here to bad mouth at all I’m just being honest. Overall, even though there have been a lot of positive stories, I have to say there does seem to be a general feel that MYA is definitely lacking when it comes to patient care. If you think about it, even if 99% of their patients are happy, that 1% leaves at least 300 girls who have experienced some dissapointment with the company.

My PC left a few weeks before my op and no one told me, I only found out when I called up to ask why she wasn’t answering my texts and calls. The lady who took me over, deb from Cardiff, is lovely. But this does not make up for the fact I was left without being told anything beforehand.

Expecting a call from her today as she wasn’t working yesterday (so lets hope I get it) and have already been booked in by the nurse for my post-op. I hope all goes well from here, and I’m just glad things haven’t been any worse, like it has been for some poor girls out there.

Hope things sort themselves out for you girls.

i agree, before my op (before i paid them) they were great calling me all the time asking if i was ok, still going ahead with the op etc… but then my pc left and i was given another one about 3 weeks b4 my op. at a time when i needed support there was no1 there as she never contacted me and very rarely replied to my emails. i emailed her a few days b4 my op to confirm she had ordered another implant size in, the one i actually wanted, she never replied – so u can imagine my stress the day of mt op travelling an hour and a half to the hospital not knowing wot the hell i wud be getting! and i also found out if id of booked a day later i wud of only of needed to travel to preston which is half the distance, surely i shud be aware of where my surgeon was operating instead of finding out off other girls on here :/ i also had to ring up to find out my appointment time of my surgery

in the mya paperwork it says a nurse should ring you the day after your op, i never got this, and your pc should be contacting you quite regularly aswell. weve had a big operation and i was in a bloody lot of pain constantly for 5 straight days!! i felt like i wasnt cared about seen asthough theyve now got my money!!! on day 3 mum had to ring the emergency number for me twixe in an hour as i could barely talk the pain was that bad!! :( and i have to say i cant fault those nurses, even though they didnt exactly help it was reassuring that what i was feeling was common.

but also the fact that i need to travel 40 mins ot my appointments in manchester and who ever i see whether its been my original pc, nurse or surgeon im in the for 5 mins max and im being rushed out the door ready for the next person!

nad as much as i love this forum i think its appalling that when ever im worried or have a question i have to come here! theres so many things i found out about my op and after having it that i just wasnt told by anyone ive seen with mya. im really happy with the outcome so far and im 15 days po, but after cares pretty poor if im honest x

    Menu

awww im sorry that uv had a bad time of it girls, its awful that u are not getting the highest standard of aftercare that u have paid for :(

i went with MYA in Glasgow and can honestly say hand on heart that all the members of staff at MYA and Ross Hall hosp have been fantastic, my pc (Karen) is only a text away and no matter wot time i text whether it be day or night she always has the time to get back to me, she always asks how i am and if ive had any problems. My surgeon Andrew Hart has been fab aswell, cant fault him at all, hes such a nice guy and he genuinely cares about his patients welfare before and after surgery.

it really saddens me that some staff at the MYA clinics are letting the company down as a whole, theres no truer saying than “mud sticks” and this isnt a good look for MYA.

i honestly hope that things start looking up for you girls even though it maybe too little too late xxx take care girlies xxx big hugs xxx

    Menu

Aww hunny, So sorry to hear that.. I hope you manage to get in touch with them soon,

As fairy said, i guess all clinics are diff,

i went the Manchester Clinic, and my PC, Alison, was constantly calling and texting me before, on the day of my op, she sent me good luck text, and called day after, spoke to nurse 3 times since m y op, and im only 4 weeks, Manchester clinic, Rochdale Clinic, And Mr Traynor – Fantatstic. xx

Like u said forestbabe she sounds very professional and genuinely concerned about any problems. My pc also called me today and was lovely, as she always has been. I agree I’ve had no one ring me, even though I’ve had to ring the emergency number 2x since I’ve had my op. And no one has rang me to see if I’m ok from MYA or the nurse. Ive paid loads of money too and thought aftercare is the most important part of the whole surgery. I’ve had a rough time and been in tears badly. Even tried contacting nurse today but no luck. I don’t see nurse till Friday late morning. I feel let down in the after care services. I had to resort to going to see my own GP. which she was great and very understanding. Now got to have bloods taken to see if everything ok .

Really sorry to hear some of you girls’s stories. But the ladies in Cardiff have been fab and everytime Ive tried ringing them I’ve got through. xxxx

got my first consultation with a pc tomorrow, have to say this all sounds bit off putting, i spoke with a small clinic, tim burge, in bristol, and will cost another 500 but am contemplating it as their aftercare is so much better, youi see Tim burge every time you go to be checked…anyone had him? i don’t know, its all so confusing. made an appointment to see transform now too, aftercare has to be good surely!!!

hope all yopu girls are ok xxxx

Anne Harrison is seemingly the only credit to MYA – she is also the person I have been dealing with since my fiasco last week. Still not mentally prepared to book another date for the op as I am still reeling from the non-op. xxxx

Ah no Anna sorry to hear that :(

I’ve heard from Anne too and she sounds lovely, seems to have sorted my situation out too.

Look at it this way hun, the sooner you book your official op and get it done the sooner you can put all of this behind you. It can’t be good for yourself waking up each day expecting to see new boobs and feeling so let down and upset about it. Its such a shame all of this happened i cant imagine having that happen to me on my op day but consider what I’ve said hun its not good for ur wellbeing carrying on feeling this way each day. I had my BE op on Tuesday 3rd May, the staff at Highgate were all very efficient and a Mya nurse (Karen) called me twice yesterday (i was asleep first time she called) to check up on me which I wasn’t expecting but very pleased nonetheless.

A friend of mine had her BE done with Transform and she couldn’t believe that i had my own private room, en suite bathroom, sky tv etc all squeaky clean, she said she was in a ward with other girls and only curtain to separate them and she had a moody nurse! Have to say though, her boobs look incredible though lol!

Haha love boobs! No MYA have definately provided us with amazing hospitals (well Highgate was lovely) and the staff there were brilliant, and when I have spoken to nurses at the london MYA clinic they have been brilliant and helped me out so much, just had a lack of communication from them after my op.
