Update – Open Rhino 3rd May LONDON

Hey Ladies,

So I had my surgery 3rd May at approx 3.30pm Dr Erian. He was fantastic and I was very much at ease with him before the surgery when he came and had a quick chat with me. Totally trusted that he would do an amazing job.

2 hours later I woke up with a very sore throut, dry mouth and a massive headache. The top part of my teeth and bones of my face felt heavy and numb and slightly sore and my nose felt like I had a bad cold. NOt too uncomfortable at all. They gave me something for it and I was still woozie, but starving. I asked for some tea and biscuits and had a rest once in my room. I didn’t look like a disaster at all.

The next day I still didn’t look bad, the left part of my eye socket was a but swollen but not so much the right. I did a cold press when I got home, ate some more (I eat a lot lol). Had more rest and then had dinner, took some codienne and went to bed after doing a final cold press to my swollen eye orbits. I slept really well, when I woke up I must have closed my mouth so I woke up breathing from my nose. Didn’t feel too bad. It is now Saturday, I look ok….not much swelling, not much gunk, not much paid, I feel great…just a few occasional diluted pink drips. Only taken 2 codienne this morning with breakfast, can eat everything, no loss of appetite, sore throut is gone. Must say the cold rag and ice is working wonders. I’ve had lots of herbal teas and water and Manuka honey. And yes also a glass of champagne when I’ve had dinner and lunch…it is the weekend

Recovery is going well. Suppose being a non smoker helps you heal faster. I just feel shite about not being able to gym. After reading up one everyones Rhino, I think I’m having a pretty good run so far. Just feels like a have a bad hayfever which I suffer from all the time so no biggie really.

Thank you for all the really good accounts of your recovery, it really helped me feel confortable, so here is mine. WIll write more if I have any changes….right now I just cannot wait for the caste to come off.

My PC Kumni has been awesome too. So helps when you have faith in everyone you come across for such massive decion.

The only gripe I have is that I had the worst night nurse. She was a nurse from hell and I wouldn’t wish her upon anyone. Her name was Clara at the London Welbeck, she even told me to change my own gause and just would not help me with anything. I seriously was so stressed out with her and couldn’t wait for the Nurse Chu to start the next morning. How do people like her get into nursing with such terrible, uncaring bed side manner??? Anyway I’m home now and she can’t get me. She either really hated her job or just resented human beings.

ANyway friends…that’s my account so far. I totally think Dr Erian is an expert in his field and feel I was in excellent hands. I have waited for this surgery for 20 years – cant wait to see the caste off.
