    Hiya,

If you were given thw option of Lollipop or Anchor scar…which one would you go with and why?

    Answers on a postcard,

    Mel xx

I know Ive spoken to you before but 100% lollypop scar – 2 reasons, firstly less scaring, secondly less pain (especially when you have to wear the sports bra and underwiring as it may rub)

I had the anchor scar but would have prefered the lollipop, same reasons as melissa – i wasn’t given a choice…all depends on the surgeon xx

I’m scared of the huge amount of scars I’m going to have. Jo, I can see Helena on Thurs if I want, are you happy with her work? Xx

Do you all think the anchor lift will last longer then the lollipop lift? Xxx

To be honest melissa i can’t really see much at the moment, helena bandages you up and i don’t have them removed till 2morra…however i can see the size are perfect and also i have the lift i have dreamed of for so long :) Helena is a fantastic surgeon, she is a perfectionist and her scars are minimal so i would defo recommend seeing her! I was scared of the scaring, i still am, but i’v seen pictures and they really do fade over time…i just hope i feel that way when i see my scars/stitches 2morra…they are covered with the bandages at the moment! xx

I took some of my bandages of myself before melissa and wish i hadn’t…im very badly bruised :( and it hurts so much…i should have waited for the nurse to do it…i think the worst bit is where the drains were..i’ll let you know how i get on tomorrow..i think i want the bandages to stay on now :(

I didn’t look at my stitches though..taking that bit of bandaging off was enough!

I hope this hasn’t made you more nervous, i’m just too impatient and should have waited to let the nurse do it xxx

    Jo, How are you honey?

the bruising is normal – If you look at my first few pics you can see just how purple and brown I was! and it did hurt alot – even moving around in bed!

Are you having your stitches off tomorrow – I took mine of myself after a week! was very scary!

    Hiya Girlies,

Thanks for sharing Jo…I would be the same I think!

It is not the pain that I am scared of, its the scars. If I was just having the one op then I wouldnt be so bad but cos I am going to have a huge scar across my Tummy as well, I dont want to be covered in scars…if that makes sense?

I was offered the Lollipop lift by a surgeon at the Nuffield – not sure if I should go with him, there aftercare isnt as sgood as MYA’s tho. xxx

Hi melissa, aside from freaking myself out about the bruises i’m not too bad thanks…i looked at your pics hun and i swear my the side of my left boob is black, especially where i had the drains :( I haven’t dare take any more of the tape off…i think my stitches are dissolvable although i’m not too sure! I just wasn’t expecting to see what i saw! I can honestly say its traumatised me, i just rang my pc and she too said it was normal, it just looks so severe! I’m such a wuss! Hope you are keeping well hun xx

Melissa87 (this is confusing – 2 melissas lol ) I can understand what you mean hun, it must be even harder for you with having a TT too..it does make sense, Hopefully i will be able to tell you more what my scars are like when i see the nurse in the morning! Just go with what you feel most comfortable with, like i said i wasn’t given a choice – just had the anchor xx

Yeah I know – Melissa is such a cool name!

Thanks hun, that would be gr8. Going to see Helena at 4pm tomorrow to see what she reckons is best for me.

Mr T said 230 (I twisted his arm to a 260) and overs with a anchor scar.

Surgeon at the Nuffield said 295cc with over the muscle but under the gland and the Lollipop scar… see what Helena says tomorrow. Hoping my BF comes with me cos he speaks Greek (born in Cyprus altho is a Cockney!)so they can talk the lingo!

Helena gave me 320 low profile unders! At my consultation with her i didn’t really know about the different procedures, i’v learnt all i know from this forum!I’m presuming she does the anchor scar as a rule, it may be an idea to ask her about the lollipop scar? Helena was the only consultant i saw, to be honest i didn’t really research enough before hand, just agreed with what she said and did my research on here once i knew what i was having lol!! I was 100% certain i wanted the op though, in hindsight i maybe should have seen a few consultants but its done now xx

I was like that with Mr Kazzazi, i knew i wanted my boobs sorting and just went with what he said to have. Maybe should have seen others but Mr Kazzazi was the only one at Leeds that operated at Doncaster and i didnt want to travel to Manchester. I’d not looked into uplifts so didnt know the different types. xx

Melissa have you got a scar underneath where you implants went in? xx

    Menu

    Me?

No, I havent – I was supposed to have the full ancor lift but when I came round from the op my surgeon came to check on me and said he had good news – he managed to only give me a lolypop scar – I figured he must have put the implant through the uplift scar down the front of my boob!

    xx

360cc low profile is quite a bit implant tho – width wise so he must have squished it to make it small! I dont know how he did it!

I havent seen him since one week post op, nor have I need a nurse etc so looking forward to seeing him on the 4th April! Everything feels ok, just hope it is!

The surgeon that was going to give me the lollipop lift is mow fully booked! So guess I’m stuck with the anchor! Xx

Aw Jo, thanks honey – seriously give your scars 8 weeks and you will be like me saying this to other girls! This is why I still use this forum.

Initially the scars are big red marks, however when you start using bio oil and taking care of them the scars will disapear before your eyes! I have seen alot of girls on here, one in particular was Janey22 on sofem, she is on here too – her pics are from beginning to a year and a half on and her scars are amazing – she also had the full anchor lift.

Let me know how yu get on tomorrow hun xxx

    Menu

Guys – I am having an uplift and implant – 435 low profiles – not actually sure what this means so what size boobs have your implants given you?

Also how do you get onto sofem so I can start seeing some piccies…
