vitamin C??

I have been told not to take multi vitamins before and after my surgery because Vitamin E is a blood thinner. Can i still take Vitamin C before and after to help healing?

i was told to stop taking all my vitamins hun, i normally take C,E B complex and iron and the nurse adviced me not to take any of them xx

whesh your op katie as long as u stop maybe 2 weeks before hand. dont take any aspirin or ibufrofen either!!

i wouldnt worry about it hun, some girls carry on taking their pill when your meant to come of that too, i wouldt have thought it would coz any problems its just a precaution xx

17 days til my op, thought they would help with recovery, but obviously not!! x

they recommend you stop taking them 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after, so your within the guidelines anyway xx

Nikki, when did you start taking the vitamin c again? I was going to start taking it to help the healing process x

I’m going to keep taking them til fri then, as I feel really run down without them.

I startes about 2 weeks after, protein shakes are good for the healing.process because they promote muscle and tissue repair xx

I was told by my surgeon to stop all vitamins apart from c,I took vitamin c all the way through,but that a was my surgeons preference,I stopped all other vitamins 2 weeks before,and didnt resume taking them until my 2 week post-op check.xxx
