want to rip off my cast!!

My nose has started itching under my cast and it is completely unbarable, I feel like ripping it off. Did anyone else have this, how do you ignore the itching xxx

I have it right now,I keep running my hand under the freezing cold tap,it dosent work but it gives me something else to think about,lol,xxx

lol, iv tried hitting myself and itching my arm or leg but niether is working. this is definitely the worst bit xxx

I think so too,Ive even put the hair dryer on cool and blown it on my face and that dosent work,in fact now Im talking about it,its itching even more,lol.xxx

i used to just take deep breaths and blow upwards and serioulsy just try and NOT think about it!!! i know itssss soooooo hard!!!!!!! xxx

i used a cotton bud or a cocktail stick muahaha xx

Girls I found that piriton helps for itching. My nurse recommend it. I had terrible itching and like many have said you just want to rip the cast off. Try piriton…..really helped me. You can get it from Boots, it’s a antihisitimine for hay fever and allergies.

iv been using piriton for my rash and its defaintly helped with itching as well and i dont have a cast on anymore! so do get it! and ahmed you might be lucky and not get any itching lol so dont worry mine did start around 9days post op tho! think the cast just starts to irritate your skin and also from where you sweat and stuff! xx

Im itching like mad I have asked my neighbour to bring me some Piraton,xxx

Thanks girls, I am definitely getting some of that asap, cannot deal with the itching. I’ll add it to the 500 other tablets I seem to be taking at the moment lol.

Hahahaha rinaule a cocktail stick lollll, I will not be poking my nose with one of those, iv only just managed to clean a bit of the blood off after 4 days, I’m such a wimp. xxx
