Was she supposed to take my steri strips off?? 1 week post op question..

Hi lovely ladies,

I have just come back from my 1 week check with the nurse.. She removed the dressing and then pulled off the steri strips (which really bloody hurt!) and then it started bleeding a lil on my right side (the incision). So now ive had to be re-dressed with more steri strips and a smaller dressing and go back in a week. I just cant help but think if she had left the steri strip on i’d have been fine.. it seemed like it was pulling away my healed tissue and thats why its now bleeding

Any thoughts? ideas?

Hi honey,I had my strips removed after 1 week to check the scars,I didnt want to see them I was too much of a whimp,lol,the right one bled a bit around the the nipple,she just put new strips on,and at week 2,when she checked them again to trim the stitches they were fine.xxx

aww thanks soo much tina, you have really put my mind at ease! I just cant wait to be rid of blimming dressings! lol

you will see such a difference,you will feel more comfy and less restricted,you wouldnt believe a dressing could cause so much discomfort,you be fine in a week honey.xxx
