I had to wait till i was 2 weeks post op to wash mine, at that point my bandages has just been removed and i had been given the all clear to shower and bathe but not to soak and deffo not in water that had shampoo/conditiiner residue in it, i have very long hair it takes ages to wash then i have to comb it through in the bath with my conditioner on cause washig it makes it really tatty im in there about 40 mins so i went in a shallow bath kept the water level under my incisions and used the showerhead to wet/wash it and just kept tipped back as far as i could i got out of the bath to put my conditioner on and comb it through then got back in an hour later (thats how long it took my arms to recover!) And rinsed it off, jeez such a palava, i went to my friends shop to get it washed 10 days post op and physicaly couldn’t lie back and keep my neck in the basin it was too painful on my breast bone, if you don’t have mixertaps in your bath i suppose you could just use a jug to wet & rinse just keep the water shallow and make sure you tip back far enough so the water doesn’t run down your front xxx
