Hi girls. I am 8 days post op my strapping was taken off yesterday. I had my full head highlights and blow dry on Sunday but need to wash my lion mane again. How would be best To do it? Will I be ok to stand leaning over the bath front ways and wash it myself or stand in the bath and tilt my head back ??? Thank you x x x x

It took me about 40 mins myself but basically leaned over the side of the bath and had a towel wrapped around me, lots of turning the shower on/off to stop getting wet… but got it done

is there no one that can help you if you lean over the side of the bath and have someone wash your hair so your not using your arms as such? x

I had to wait till i was 2 weeks post op to wash mine, at that point my bandages has just been removed and i had been given the all clear to shower and bathe but not to soak and deffo not in water that had shampoo/conditiiner residue in it, i have very long hair it takes ages to wash then i have to comb it through in the bath with my conditioner on cause washig it makes it really tatty im in there about 40 mins so i went in a shallow bath kept the water level under my incisions and used the showerhead to wet/wash it and just kept tipped back as far as i could i got out of the bath to put my conditioner on and comb it through then got back in an hour later (thats how long it took my arms to recover!) And rinsed it off, jeez such a palava, i went to my friends shop to get it washed 10 days post op and physicaly couldn’t lie back and keep my neck in the basin it was too painful on my breast bone, if you don’t have mixertaps in your bath i suppose you could just use a jug to wet & rinse just keep the water shallow and make sure you tip back far enough so the water doesn’t run down your front xxx

Just wanted to say Chelsie at only 8 days post op your internal pocket stitches will not be fully healed yet thats why the post op bra is so important at this time, it’s supporting the weight of the implant while your pocket is healing, at this stage you shouldn’t realy be leaning forwards that far for that long but if you do it that way pl ease get somebody else to actualy wash it for you otherwise you are leaning and stretching (by raising your arms) whilst washing it and at 8 days post op it’s not a great thing to do for that length of time xxx

Hey babes. I got a chair and lend over the sink (like a home made hair salon ha ha) and got my sister to wash it for me. Do you have someone who could help and do that for you? Xx

I went to a non expensive hairdressers for a blow dry at 5DPO and i am going again Saturday. Only costing me £10 per go so definitely worth it xx
