Weaping Incisions?…

PO girls, please help! Im 19days PO now, i had my 2week PO app and the nurse saw that my insisions were weaping and said its nothing to worry about and they dont look infected… i was told that i could have a normal shower on Sunday and get them wet and then redress them and keep them dressed till Tuesday, and then after that i can have them free and undressed… Im just a bit concerned that the corners of my insisions are still open and weaping liquid…. has anyone else had this and can suggest how to prevent it or if i should be worried? My next check up is 6weeks PO and that seems like forever away.. xx

HI hun.. i had to keep mine covered for nearly 3 weeks because one of them was still raw there wasnt much weaping.. just a little bit really.. i totally avoided getting them wet for that time.. i just checked them here and there and kept recovering.. the best thing u can do is keep them dry and keep them covered.. careful when u do check them though i ripped my skin off so had to keep them covered for even longer lol.. they should sort themselves out try not to worry.. if they get worse or anything or u dont see improvement call the nurse xx

Thanks Hun! Just concerned they are weaping through my steri strips but when I saw the nurse she said it was fine?? Surely it’s not healing if its weaping? I’m supposedly allowed the steri strips off as of tomoz xx

Sometimes the wounds just take a little longer to heal hun i was surprised and a little worried when i went at 1 week po and the nurse said i had to keep them covered for another week then at 2 weeks saying i needed them covered for another 3-6 days when everyone else was ok at 1 week.. at this point i honestly wouldnt worry hun.. if the incisions rub against ur bra it may make things worse but then again a little air to them might help so if u do leave them uncovered just keep a eye on them.. if u saw the nurse at 14 days po and ur now 19 days i would deffo give her a ring.. u can never be 2 careful xx

Mine got smaller once the swelling started going i think they are done shrinking now at least i hope so.. ppl say they do grow.. so fingers crossed hun lol xx
