Wearing a proper bra for the first time!

Know i shouldn’t as my six weeks is up on Saturday but i feel fine and scars are healing really well so i thought sod it, it’s only three more days! Feels GREAT! xx

Congrats on the new bra. Does it feel weird? I don’t know how I’ll be without the constant support of my Nike Bra lol.

My surgeon advised I can wear a normal bra after 3/4 weeks. So you should be fine Suzy. As long as it’s not aggravating your incisions.

It felt a bit uncomfortable at first but only because i haven’t worn a proper bra for ages and i forgot that proper bras actually are uncomfortable anyway! But it’s not hurting my incisions at all and it feels lovely to be wearing an attractive bra rather than my grotty old macom or sports bra! Thank god! xx

aww woohoo! im sure you’ll be fine. Youve helped me alot on this frum suzy(mite not know it) but you have! Your pics have reasured me soo much with my op! (1st june) so thanks soo much xx

That’s really lovely girls, i feel all happy now that i’ve been able to help! I just post things on here and put my pics up but suppose you never really know whether people are paying much attention or not ha ha.

When i first started coming on here i never ever intented on putting my pics up at all, it made me cringe at the thought but so many girls let me look at thier pics and i realised how much it helped me that now i’m more than happy to accept friend requests from girls and give advise. Just really really pleased i’ve been able to help!

When did you have your op mrsp? How are you healing? xx

Yeah I felt the same – there was no way I was puttin pictures up – lol. Soon changed my mind after my op. Be putting more up soon. I had my op on the 26th April so I two weeks now – Dr C is a legend-my scars are so neat-have ha no problems at all Just waitin for the day when I can bin my sports bra and buy my new bikinis for my hols in june.

Just had a peek, they look fantastic already, they seem to dropped loads so quickly. That happened with me too, think we must be the lucky ones!

It goes so quickly, you’ll be in normal bras in no time! I can’t believe how quick the whole healing prosess is, i mean i never thought that six weeks after the op i’d feel back to normal and that they would be so soft and natural, i’m really impressed with the whole experience! xx

Hi gnats, i had sub fascias which are over the muscle but under the thin bit of tissue at the front of the breast. I think they have benefits of both overs and unders but are more similar to overs in terms of recovery and pain etc.

I had 340cc High profile CUIs xx

gnats – hiya, I had 300cc and 340cc overs (wonky boobs after breast feeding twins) and I had Dr Chantrasak – who is amazing – hardly any scars xcx

It’s mad isn’t it? I think you expect to be bed ridden or something but instead i was fine and had to keep being told to stop doing too much because i kept forgetting i was recovering! xx

Not long for you hun, it’ll be here before you know it and you’ll have all the joys of wierd squishing noises, bloating, funny sensations and more that we all had….oh and a lovely new pair of boobs. At least you’re all booked in now! xx

Suzyp your breasts look amazing and so natural. Mine are slightly fuller than yours were, I’m a 32b. I don’t want them too big that’s why I’m so unsure about size… Thank you so much for all the pictures. It’s been great to see how your breasts have developed since the op. xx

they are over the muscle but under the thin tissue at the front of the breast (the fascia). There was a bit of confusion to be honest as i thought i was having unders and it was only until after the op i was asking the doctor some questions and he said i had overs!! It was a bit embarrassing and i’m SURE he said unders at my consultation but either way i’m pleased with the results! Also they have benefits of both overs and unders so got the best of both worlds really.

Thanks Tania, i’m going to add some six week ones at the weekend with bras as well so will put a post on here when i have. They’ve changed even more, they’re much lower down now and so soft and natural feeling.

Go for 300cc, they really won’t look too big, you get used to them so quickly xx

God i CAN’T WAIT to wear normal bras again, living in a sports bra makes me feel so frumpy and it’s challenging my wardrobe daily when dressing for work!x

gnats, I’m still not sure if I’ll go for unders or overs. Dr C suggested overs but I’ve been doing some research and there seems to be more advantages in unders than overs, even though unders are more painful: http://advanced-art.com/Breast-Aug-Over-Under.htm

I’m going to speak with dr C about it and decide on the day. To be honest from the table shown in that website what concerned me the most was the mammography. I’m concern of having some lump in the future that will not be detected with the overs. I’ll have to talk with dr C on the day. Maybe dr C will tell me about the sub-fascias he did with suzyp and I’ll be more convinced. we’ll see…

No not at all, just accepted you. I wasn’t told about sub fasicas at all, just woke up and i had them! But he did say they can’t gaurantee that you will be able to have them until they open you up and then they decide. Get him to explain them to you and then explain them to me because i don’t know enough about them myself! xx

Im guessing ill have to have unders from what ive seen and heard but dont know for sure. I think i prefer the look of unders personally … but untill i see surgeon and talk about it more for me i wont know. xx

msp, your old breast look alot like mine. What bra size were you? They now look great and a nice size. From the pre-op pic they didn’t seem to have different sizes. I’m starting to think of having the 300cc after all… Do you mind if I show them to my husband to ask for his opinion?

Aw thanks Tania – I was a 34a and 34b before-so was hard finding bras suitable. They are still not 100% the same-but I much happier with them now. Yeah course don’t mind u showing ur hubby. The more research u do – the better you will feel about having it done-that what I did. xcx

Woohoo Suzy ) What were u measured at in the end?? lm going for a fitting Saturday 5 weeks post op, l probably will buy a kinky bra and knicker set for my hubby’s birthday on monday lol sooo excited xx l do worry about my boobs though drooping again.

Hi Suzy, just seen that you had high profiles…I always though HP would look really fake but yours don’t at all! How cone you had high profile? x

Well i went to M&S at around week four and she said 32E/F but i find 32 backs uncomfortable and tight so i ordered a few different bras and found that 34DD/32E fits me best! Will go at the weekend and get measured properly again though. Vicky just had a look at your pics and they’re looking good! I love the girls who have had uplifts, they all seem perfect!

Nat – i was only offered HPs, i think it just depends on the shape of your body on what the surgeon suggests will be best for you. I specifically said i didn’t want the fake look so i’m sure my surgeon wouldn’t have given them to me if he thought they would make me look like that xx
