Weight gain/ water retention…..

Hey girls! So has anyone found they have gained weight since their op? I haven’t got on the scales but I was trying on some clothes today, some fit, some don’t! Mostly my jeans!! Aghhhh! Theres a top I really wanted to wear this weekend that would look great with jeans and now I cant! Boo! don’t get me wrong my boobs are totally worth it, but still!! Has anyone else had this? Is it water retention? Effect of GA? I’m only 9 days post op!!

I am 6 days PO. I haven’t gone up in weight… but my tummy is very bloated and i have lost my normal waist definition… I look a bit like La La the teletubby. Hope that’s of some comfort! You are not alone.

I wouldn’t stress about it though… its early days yet, and you still have lots of healing to do.

It’s the tablets that do that to ya. I was exactly the same and felt mega fat! After about 2 weeks was when I felt i had returned to normal x

Oh good! Thanks girls! I am bloated! I didnt take painkillers though just the antibiotics. Do u think its those? I hope so! I was thinking of getting diet pills but u can’t take them until 2 weeks post op so ill see how I feel next week! Xx

Bit of an out there question but did you stop going to the toilet for about a week?

Yeah!! But I took senakot last night which did the trick! (sorry!) 

I know but it still takes a while to go back to normal. It’s def the antibiotics that do it though. I didn’t take the pain killers they gave me because it made me feel mega sick. Give it a few more days and you’ll be in your jeans in no time

i’m exactly the same forestbabe – i’ve def lost my definition round my waist since my ba wednesday, am not mega bloated but can def notice it! havent been 2 the loo since either – gonna get some senokot 2moz! x

I put on 9lb after my op for the 1st 2 weeks, did not take pain killers. and was regular with out help haha,. within 2 weeks i was back down to my normal weight. so dont worry. xx

I just won’t to feel normal again just feel like a fat cow at the mo.

Thinks its a mixture of the drugs,and larding around lol l walked most days but feel like l have a big waist prob all in the imagination xx

i have just sat and munched a whole jar of prunes, to ‘get things moving!!’ soz a bit 2 much info there but god i feel soooo bloated – i was joking with my mum 2day that i’ve got 3 boobs, including my belly! lol…. x

Oh phew! I thought i was getting tubby too! My waist has got thicker which i’m not liking lol! Just can’t wait to get these steri strips off, they’re place o wonky so my boobs look wonky at first glance! x

I’m “fat” all over. Hate it. I look like 5 months pregnant )) Got senokot max strength last night and it worked however still bloated x

when this fat bloated crap go away im 11 days post op look massive.. fed up now
