Hi all,
You may have seen my post complaining that Id put on 5lbs in 2 days post op! Well its all gone, woop! I’m now exactly the same weight as I was pre op.
Just wanted to point it out in case if happens to other people and it upsets them as much as it did me – it dropped off as quickly as it went on so must have just been the fluid and swelling
.; xx
Bet your happy now,the op has wierd effects on different people, but it all settles eventually, scary at the time.thank god for this forum.xx
I know, I think I’d go mad without this forum! I was really upset as I’d gradually lost 11lbs since Xmas and got to a weight I was fairly ok with, then I put half of it back on in the space of two days! So relieved xx
Claire fantastic news! You’ve done well to shift that pre-op and get back to that so quickly. I’m now the heaviest I’ve ever been. 10 stone 4lbs and only 5ft5!
I really feel it in my bum, legs and lower back strangely. So I’m quickly developing love handles. I used to be 8 stone and a fond runner. Now I’m a couch potato.
Any advice on how to shift the extra weight?
I’m currently taking 1 acai berry extract tab a day and upto 8 colon cleanse.
I should just get up off my lazy bum eh ?
xx
Aw Claire I hate to say it but yep, get off your bum! Hehe just kidding. I’m actually similar in stats to you – same height, was 10.8 at Xmas and got down to 9.11 pre op. I started running a lot as I went for the great Manchester run 10k last month – did lots of interval running like jog for a minute and sprint for 30 seconds – really good for increasing fitness and fat burning. And I used this ace app on my phone called my fitness pal – it tells you what your calorie intake should be each day to lose weight and counts your calories when you type in what you’ve eaten.
I used to be about 8 stone too yearrrrs ago but I didn’t really eat properly and its just not a natural weight for me. Id like to be about 9.7, maybe a touch less, I’d be happy with that and able to maintain it xx
claire1985 that’s doubly impressive to lose that weight because you must have built a fair amount of muscle, which weighs a good deal more than fat! xxx
Aw thanks hun
counting the calories made it easier – if I wanted a take away I’d just go for a run at some point to burn off the equivalent lol, I can’t diet! Xx
I’m hoping i don’t put on lots, i’m 10 stone 4 and 5 ft 7, I’m trying to keep my treats to a minimum and have fruit as snacks to cut calories down. The meds are taking my appetite away to be fair which is helping a bit! When are you girls thinking of starting light exercise like walking outside? xx
Blondie you look fab, I think you can afford to put on a few lbs
you look like you have an actual 6 pack on your pics! I’m thinking of trying a little walk around the quays tomorrow (where I work) on my lunch break. I’m on the 5th floor so maybe taking stairs instead of the lift.
I wish my appetite had gone, its as big as ever! I’ve been keeping meds to a minimum tho – you probably need it more after the uplift xxx
awww thanks Claire! it looks like a six pack of doughnuts right now.. the bloating has kicked in like you wouldn’t believe!! feel like a fat bloater!
I’m going to try and cut down the tramadol as of tomorrow and just finish my antibiotics and anti-inflams, i’m just impatient, that’s my problem! just need to accept that this is all part of it and be patient
You’re doing well to be back at work tomorrow xx
Ah its not really by choice, I have so much booked this year I wad running out of holiday days! I’m only in an office though Di should be fine.
If you need the painkillers then take them – I know how crap it is feeling fat and bloated but its just all part of the process. Wear a baggy top and relax
you’ll soon be back to normal. Well a bit more normal anyway lol xxx
cheers Claire, i will. I’ve been in my PJs for most of the day today, don’t feel comfy in anything else. I really hope you get on ok at work, are you going to get withdrawal symptoms from the forum!?? xcx
Haha have no fear, my laptop has been broke for a while so I’ve been using my phone for the forum anyway – ill be on it in all my breaks! Xx
There are so many weight loss medicines available in market that help in reducing weight fast. people also do exercises but they affect very slowly or with lot of work.
