I’m booked in for rhino on 2nd July – I have 2 months!!

Pre op is on the 30th of this month…

I’m 5’3 and weigh around 9st – I’m carrying a spare tire around my waist and my face/arms/legs could be slimmer!!

So technically I need to lose weight anyway…

Are you expected to be at a healthy weight for yourself around op time?

I understand I will be inactive for a while afterwards and am likely to gain more weight (I am an over-eater :P )

So how much weight should I be losing now in the next 2 months and should I be on a special healthy diet? Or am I okay to keep pigging out on junk food haha? I don’t want to do that by the way!

    Thanks xxx

they want you to be at your ideal weight of course but i am not either. I do carry my weight on my legs and love handles though and I just hope it won’t effect my boobs much. I checked older pics when I was leaner and boobs always stayed the same. I already lost a lot since February when I scheduled the op but not as much as I wanted to.

Just stay away from white flour and sugar for the most part.

Yeah perhaps I can just cut out sugar!

    And start exercising, obviously :P

For your height your BMI is in the normal range so I wouldnt worry!

I am very unhealthy though – I live off cheese, chips, curry, pizzas and don’t exercise and I am very sluggish and ill all of the time – so was just wondering if that wasn’t ideal for surgery :P

Maybe it could be an excuse to eat some healthy food and go to the gym! :P

I am 5’2 and was 9’9 …. I wanted to lose too before op incase I put on as cant go gym.

I did slim fast and gym or 30 mins excersise a day for 7 week pre op

And was 8’7 on morning of my op :)

So lost 16lb in 7 week.

It wasn’t that bad and I actually got used to having the slimfast lol

    Good luck hunni :)
