they say 6 weeks is the “normal” recovery time but it may be shorter or longer. You know your own body. x

Hi hun, I started weight training again about 3.5 weeks after…. naughty me… but i concentrated on my lower body and then slowly started training my upper body after 6 weeks i just had to ease my self into it using lighter weights than i was doing previously and just being careful not to over do it. Just build it up slowly but id wait until 6 weeks post op before even starting to train the upper body you dont want to do any damage after youve spent so much money on the twins. Good luck with your competition :) xxx

Hi thanks for reply I’m not saying I’ll make competition level

But it’s a goal. It leads me 2 2 further questions.

Did u do cardio after 3.5 wks.

And I need to lose about 15bls to be at the weight for competition would that be ok after the op.

    Thanks for reply.

I think i did cardio at about 4 weeks but again just eased myself into it slowly. I used the step mill machine or the cross trainer but just held onto the handles and didnt moved my arms just my legs. You can lose weight after your op but losing alot of weight quickly can result in things like rippling but not always thats just a risk and can happen to some people. I havent lost alot of weight since my op so i couldnt tell you from personal experience xx

My surgeon said I can start riding a bike after 3 weeks. I am 11 days PO. So I figured I will start low impact lower body stuff instead of riding bike like lunges, squats and step ups just without holding any weight. I will definitely not do any weights before I am at least 6 weeks post op. Didn’t wait 11 years to screw this up now and I am used to really heavy weights and lots of push ups and pull ups.

Well I wanted boobs and talked about this surgery since I was 16. Mostly it came down to money. So finished school first, Bachelor, Master, that’s where all the money went, no way to put extra on the site. Just took a while to figure everything out and then the last years I also needed a little bit more time to clear my mind about exactly what I want and how. I think in the end it was good that I had to wait so long. I was just absolutely ready for this now. Not nervous or anything and healing well, so I think mind and body were ready.
