Get it checked out hun as you dont want infection to get in and I was told if you feel ill or your breast feels very hot or if you have temperature or if breasts go rock hard to call as could be infection. Just to be on safe side check with the nurse but you need to be carefull your not over doing it I still am not allowed to pick up my little girl till six weeks :-( xx

i had a simular thing… 2 weeks post op. Felt great… had took it easy, and so went on a shopping trip. Only carried 2 bags, not heavy. But, i started to get pain and felt sick and dizzy. Had to go to Starbucks for a Latte and large slice of choccy cake :P

This really worries me as I work in London so commute every day and go back to work after 10 days, there is no way can get anymore time off and they don’t know what I’m having done. They think I’m going on holiday. I’m already panicking as my OH was going to lift my little boy in the car for me and get him out at Nursery for the first 6 weeks but I’ve just found out that from Day 10 when I go back to work he has not been assigned a job really far away and so I’m going to have to do it……he is 17 mths and really heavy now!! x

I’m day 10 PO now and I wouldn’t be able to carry a 17 month old yet Im still really sore and achy under one arm & incisions sting still! Everyone’s differed though I didn’t have any pain until like day 7 & most people go back to work after 7-10days I just personally can’t as I’m not ready yet xx

Oh no poor you, hope you bounce back soon hun. How long do they tell you you can’t lift and put your arms up for? Also if you feel up to it how soon can you go out and do things. I’m thinking if I feel better on day 3 for example can I go Jan Sale Shopping lol, not alone!! x

The nurse at HighGate said 3 weeks to my mum but everyone else says 7-10 days cos thats when you can go back to work & driving ect! I’m pretty sure it’s down to the individual of you feel comfortable then do it, my friend was going out for dinner and drinks ect after a week so it all depends! yesterday was my first proper day out but I won’t be going out again for a few more days now xx

After my one week check up the nurse said I can start lifting my arms more now just don’t over do it and listen to your body..

I had exactly the same thing from day 8 when I had my post op appointment, I was in so much pain and I was having to use my arm to support my boob to stop it feeling worse. They said it might have been a trapped nerve, but I just took it easy for the next few days and it was gone a week later when I next went out which was when I went back to my training. Def check it out if you’re worried but it sounds just like what I had, i thought it would never go but it did, hope you’re feeling better soon x

Cheers yeah I got an appointment with my nurse on Monday just to get it checked out for piece of mind, I’m so bored of being sat in though I can feel my thighs growing by the minute!! Lol x

Ditto, put on at weight watchers again, that’s 3.5lb since the op, and because one of my incisions came open last week (6 wks po) I can’t go back to gym Til January now! The rate I’m going I’ll be back to my starting weight before I can get back! They thought I might have had a trapped nerve but I got it checked out too just for peace of mind. I had all sorts of aches and pains and then at about 3 wks everything just stopped hurting! Hope all is ok, but am sure it will be x
