    Hey girls

I’m looking to get a boob job after i’ve had a nose job and just wondered what are the side effects (if there are any) of going on a plane with implants. I dnt really know a lot boob job surgery, as i’m concentrating on a nose job first, but i’ve heard all sorts of scare stories about them bursting cuz of the pressure or moving and even blood clotting. Can u tell me if any of these are true and when can u go on a plane safely? Thanks xx

Hmm… Don’t know the actual effects – if any

But I have three close friends who have boob jobs

An 1 of them went on a plane 2 months later

The other around 4 months after op – no problems :/

Think it’s just rumour hun but I am not sayin there aren’t any effects – just not that I’ve heard of. X

According to my surgeon waiting 4 weeks after a BA is optimum, but if you had a more complex surgery which required you to be under a GA for longer then more like 6 weeks xx

I was told this morning when I held an implant that unlike the ones from years ago that used to leak and pop, the modern day ones are not filled with a liquid.

She said that if you chop one in half you get two halves and there is no liquid to run out as its a fixed gel. Dead strange but yeah, they don’t have liquid in them and they are made for life. Unless you go bigger. Once their in, they stay in for good and don’t need changing every 10 years like the old ones.

Good stress balls too lol. Squidgy and heavier than I expected.

    Hope this helps xx

No need to panic, I’ve been on lots of planes since i had my ba over 2 years ago! Nothing has ever happened, they just feel normal. I didn’t fly long haul till i was about 10 weeks post op, and flew london to New York then Las Vegas then back to London all within 12 days… no problems at all :-)

ooo thats good then. I just want to make sure its the right thing to do. I’ve always wanted a boob job so need to do some more researching x

Im long haul cabin crew, and work for an airline with thousands of gorgeous girls… Loads of them have had a BA, and it’s absolutely fine… As Tina2011 said, its just about making sure you recover from the op first, and prevent DVT by stretching your legs and walking around… Something we do the entire flight… :-) Countdown to wearing a bikini in a lovely hot location now, and actually feel confident! 2 days PO, Whoop Whoop!!!!

You have to wait for 6 weeks, I think it’s to do with the GA because it can cause blood clotting and has flying can already lead to deep vein thrombosis the effects of GA can heighten the risk of getting it!

No risk of exploding boobie lol, it’s just a precaution!!!
