Well I’m supposed to be having my operation on 7.3.16 BUT it’s comprised at the moment due to a shitty stress rash I developed since booking my op! But I haven’t even bought any sports bras yet!? I’m usually back size 32 and getting either 300/325cc. I’m currently an a/b cup?! Any help would be totally appreciated haha! Feel so unorganised now! Woopsiee ? thankyou in advance xox

I was told to go up a back size. I’m currently a 32b and getting 325cc so will be a D cup. So I’m buying 34D size.

I would say you should look for the same tbh. Get a couple and then worst case if you need to get a different size you can post op. I’ve bought two currently and if I need others ill online order them.

    Hope that helps ☺️ Xx

What about a Macom?? That way you wouldn’t have to guess what size you will be as they just go on back size?? Or failing that maybe get 2 different sizes to take with you?? 34dd seems to be about right for girls who have gone that size so maybe that would be a safe bet? And maybe a d as well just in case???? Sorry I’m not much help, don’t have mine until 29th and I’m just gonna take a couple of sizes xx

Awww @Beth has your rash still not gone?! Will it definitely affect you having the op? I have got two Macom bras, you just get whatever back size you are and then the bra accommodates whatever size you go to. I tried one on today and obviously haven’t had the op yet but it felt like it was really supportive so I’m glad I went for them so far xx

Ahhh where do I even get a Macom bra from?! I’m such an idiot why am I so unprepared haha! I expected last week to ask the nurse at my pre-op for advise on what size sports bra but im due to have the pre op this Thursday now IF im able to have the op! Thanks for your replies girls! @ellie @joanne xox

    @lucy
nope!!! It’s calmed a bit but still there…The rash itself is called pityriasis rosea and csn last from 2-10 weeks! It’s more marks of where the rash has been now but not so much over my boobs/incision area. Dr Mounir was really resistant to operate if I still had the rash and wants to postpone my op if it is so just have to pray and hope he will appreciate the rash isn’t on my boobs when I see him Thursday! Failing that ill have to wait ? haha! Typical eh! Xox

Get them online Hun, also I got a discount code given to me by mya which I can message to you. Oh I hope he says you can have it, I’ve seen a few on here where their op has been cancelled due to one thing or another and it must be absolutely gutting. Fingers crossed for you X

I was a 32b and had 350 and 375 HP Particals and was put in the asda 34D post op then changed into my 34DD as the high impact was too tight to be put on the first day. I just had my strapping off and wearing my 34DD. The nurse said once my swelling and settling has calmed down I will be a 32DD/E

Hay Chick, I didn’t find the Malcom one that comfortable. I got two amazing bras from M&S sports bra section. They have zips at the front and literally the most comfortable thing you’ll ever wear. I no longer have to wear sports bras but I still wear them lol

Hey I bought two macoms in size small as my nurse advised and it was a total waste of money! They are unbelievably tight despite me being a 32 back size, I’ve ended up getting a few 34E sports bras from asda with the zip up front they only cost £6-£8! The cost of the two macoms was close to £70! Would definitely recommend skipping the macom and just getting a few different sizes from asda or the like and then at least if you don’t fit you can return them easily. They’re also really comfy and have a slightly lower neckline so you can wear more low cut things without it poking out through tops! xxx

I got asda zip up bras in a range on sizes, they are very comfortable and supportive but perhaps a Malcolm would be a good idea as I’ve been fluctuating been a D and an F and I’m only two day post op lol

@bethcb yeah the macoms are about £35 ish, and shipping isn’t free! Even with the mya discount it’s not cheap.. I feel conned as they say on the website to buy it in your pre op backsize, which I did and I was bulging over the top post surgery! Both nurses I saw said it was too tight, and once you’ve removed your label it’s not returnable.. Xxx

I was 32b and had 400cc unders, aim too be a DD/E as boob greed set it. They are swelling a lot at the moment so have an F cup on. The asda bras are £8 each and very comfortable I would recommend them over the Malcolm personally if you was to keep the reciept and return the unused ones.

I’m covered in strapping so difficult to see anything right now! I can tell one is bigger than the other but I’ve read that’s not uncommon plus the nurse did have abit more trouble getting the drain out on that side. Roll on Monday!

I must admit the malcoms where awkward for me the small was too small and the medium too big. Some people really rate them because of not having to worry about the cupsize thing but I couldn’t get the back size to even work for me

I also brought s Macom in my normal back size and it was way way too small. Couldn’t close it at all xx

Hey, I was a 30aa and had 300cc (I think) but I’m in a 36C which obviously isn’t my back size but it’s the only one that fits at the moment, I ordered a 34 & 32 but at the moment they won’t go anywhere near doing up, due to swelling! So I would advise to get a few different sizes because you just don’t know! X

I would advise you get the macom bras they are so comfortable! as long as you get your right size its perfectly fine. I don’t know why the price is such a factor considering the amount we have to pay for the surgery loool but its a proper post op bra so you’ll feel the benefits x
