Fluffing occurs with all patients who have had breast enlargement surgery to one degree or another. It is mainly associated with submuscular implant placement where the effects of fluffing can be more noticeable. It is where the skin stretches and the muscle retracts, allowing the implant to move down into the pocket that has been made for it. The implant then fluffs out instead of being squashed. Fluffing usually occurs at around 4 weeks after augmentation surgery, although it can happen before or after this time. hope this helps hun xx
