i have a follow up appointmentment tomorrow a week post op but i really dont know why i’m going when i was at the clinic last time for my pre op i saw a few girls who had traveled miles they walked in and two minutes later walked out !

I honestly dont know if i’ve got the energy to go all the way to london just to have two small plasters taken off, i can understand the journey if i was going to c Dr Adamo but he’s not gonna be there as wednesday is when he is in surgery,

what do you think girls ?

hmmmm i know what you mean, when i went up for my one week check up, it took nearly 3 hours to drive up there, i was in with the nurse for no longer than 5 minutes, then drove 2 and a half hours back home again!!!! x

    Hi Emma-j
I had over a 2 drive to the Newcastle MYA clinic for my 1 week post op check. The nurse bascially takes of your plasters, checks your incisions and any swelling which you may still have. I was done and dusted in ten minutes, but felt reassured that I was healing ok. xx

what do you u think? is it worth it or shall i just go to my doctors and get them to take off the bandages i didn’t like the nurse i saw last time and i could really do without it would rather just do the six week check with the surgeon!

Did it help at all when you saw them ? also all the girls on here give me better advice then mya !!!

To be honest, it was good to get the okay from the nurse, as i didn’t know how the scars should look by then. I also took the opportunity to ask a couple of questions.
So, although it was a bit of a waste of a day, i felt happier going up there. I also booked my 7 week appointment to go back and see Mr Adamo x

Think it probably is worth going up hun, it does give you peace of mind and all those questions going thru your head at the minute (make sure you write them down before you go, as everything goes out of your head when you are there!!!). Have some dates wrote down too, so you can book to see your surgeon again, usually between 6 – 8 weeks post op. By that time i was able to make a full day of it in London, and went for lunch plus did some shopping

I am now nearly 7 months post op, not sure where that time has gone! But love my new boobs 😉 xx
