What happens at pre op??

Mine is next week and was just wondering what they go through? And also my op is in Manchester but I’ve no idea where the clinic is or what it’s even called? Never got told? Do we get told this? V confused xx

Give your PC a call and ask for those details hun. i know sometimes in the heat of our excitement at our first consultation, we forget to ask the basic things

you will have swabs taken for MRSA and you will have blood pressure/pulse, weighed and measured, asked general helth questions and informed of all your do’s and don’ts… you’ll be given some paper work to read through. Also, you’ll have pre op pictures taken.x

Hi hun, my pre-op is also scheduled for next week (17th) but am now starting to worry its a bit early as I’ll still have over 6 weeks until my op (4th Jan) maybe things can change between now and then….?!?! when is your op hun? x

i had my pre-op 5 weeks before. don’t worry. if you have any health concerns before you should call your nurse. they ask you at the hospital if there are any changes from your pre-op.

Oh thanks hun, I’m quite excited actually. I’m going to request copies of my pre-op pics may put them up for people to guess what size I’ll end up with hehe x

Hey, mines 9th jan! its ok i rang the clinic they forgot to send me the paperwork out that has the hospital on etc and said it will be with me in a few days xx
