what happens if you dont take the painkillers that makes u bloated?

Hi girls…well i have seen that everyone post op seems to get a swollen belly from the medication. could i just not take the tablets that make u swollen and take some other ones?X

i didnt take the ones given to me, i took one and an hour later i was a crying mess n felt awful! they didnt agree with me atall lol. so i just took 2 paracetamol to kill pain & 1 ibuprofen to kill pain & reduce inflammation (ur allowed to take them together i asked the pharmacist) x

really hun !! and that didnt make u bloated and ur pain was ok ? i just read another post that ur not allowed to take paracetamol 2 weeks before or after ur op? is this true?X

oh i didnt no lool i took em! oops! i thought it was just aspirin u werent allowed coz it thins blood! my pain was ok-ish lol if the stronger meds didnt affect me so badly i wud of taken them x

I got given paracetamol in hospital. N co-cocodamol which has paracetamol init too so yeah u can take it straight after xxx

you’re not suppose to take paracetamol when you are already taking cocodamol as cocodamol has already the maximum dosage of paracetamol in it, if you want pain relief you can definitely take ibufropen together with cocodamol…

the reason why everyone feels bloated and constipated for a few days after surgery is not only because of the medications they give you but also because of the anaesthesia used in surgery, the anaesthesia wreaks havoc in your body system causing it not to function well so digesting of food is quite hard, after having an op try to walk around and dont just lie down, you need to activate your system once again so you need to try to walk about without straining yourself

I was bloated for 2wk and I stopped my meds day 2 po and I was stil bloated 12 days later so I don’t Think its just the meds xx
