Hi everyone, I’ve booked to have rhinoplasty in June. I’ve always hated my nose so much and I’m always self conscious that people notice it and think I’m ugly. But because I’ve always been so aware of it, I’m starting to worry that it’s such a big part of who I am that if I change it I won’t look myself anymore, or that the new nose won’t suit me. Has anyone else had these worries?

Yeah I do, I’ve been looking at pics of myself and thinking I really can’t see myself with a smaller nose and I keep thinking my nose its difficult to be made small and its gonna look bulbous still as most of the girls on her have bumps removed and they look nice and its easy to shave a bump but to make a nose slimmer it might not be the result I want, I’m scared its still gonna be ugly :‘(

    Hi there,

I just added a very similar post I didn’t think to read any before I posted but never mind. I feel exactly the same, I am really concerned that having had such an awareness of my nose once it’s gone I may really miss it and I too am worried I may not look like me anymore, It’s weird all my life I have hated my nose and wanted a nose jon but since having the surgery confirmed I am starting to wonder whether it is that bad after all. I would like to know if anyone else who had these thoughts prior to the op were unhappy after surgery. x

I think its human nature – I was sitting on the hospital bed ready to say “I don’t want it done”. But I can honestly say I wish I’d done it years ago. It is part of you but your new nose will be too, I know that I have so much more confidence not afraid to sit profile on to people with them thinking ‘God she has a huge nose’ – which apparently no-one does!!

    Just my experience girls xxx
