Hi, I think it depends how far away you live from the hospital. I lived 300 miles away from my hospital at Preston so I stayed in overnight. However, I coud have just had a day case and stayed at a near by hotel. I was there on my own tho so decided to pay the extra and stay overnight. You are well looked after and checked on all the time but it depends what you prefer to do really xx

Your surgeon will tell you what he recommends you to do honey, ask him at consultation,he will base your stay on the procedure you are having, xxx

It was lovely. I was at Highate I loved the whole day and was sad to leave lol but the hotel I stayed at was nice to. Hendon hall it was only down the road. It was fine. It was cheaper but can’t remember how much my partner paid for it all.

I had a daycase but took abit longer for the GA to wear off on me so they kept me in overnight free of charge. If you arent ok to go home, most hospitals wont let you and keep you in. I was told i could have either and said i could only afford to do a daycase and Mr K was happy with that saying if your not feeling 100% we keep you in anyway ;-) xx

How much cheaper is it for a day case? i think i would rather stay in overnight just to make sure everythings okay xx

    Menu

It’s £450 cheaper LOL!! I paid £60 for me and the other half to stay in a nearby hotel so much cheaper than going as an overnight xx

    Menu

is it?? i’d be scared to go home afterwards tho…just can’t wait to book it and get it done xx

    Menu

No need to be scared hun. If you live far from the hospital they advise you stay close by, hence why i stayed in a hotel in town. But they need to sign you off in the hospital first before they let you go. You have to be able to eat something and go to the loo and not be woozy etc, otherwise they keep you in xx
