Sorry I’m not answering your question but I’m also interested to know who replaces the implant once they 5 year is up with mya!! I’ve got a feeling it will be a case of been passed back and forth until u get fed up and pay to replace your implant yourself. I’m not wanting to slag mya off at all as they have been nothing but great for me up to now but I do have a friend who’s implant ruptured after 3 years and she ended up going else where to have it replaced. I must admit after reading so many story’s on here today I’m starting to panic a little about the after care. Sorry for moaning on think I’m just looking for reassurance lol. Xx

I had Natrelle Inspira implants but not with MYA so I don’t know how far their aftercare goes.

The Natrelle warranty only covers cases of loss of implant integrity that lead to rupture that require surgical intervention… It includes lifetime product replacement, 10 years financial assistance (up to £700) for further surgical expenses, and free size changes if the implants do need to be replaced.

However there is a list circumstances that are not covered which includes dissatisfaction with aesthetics, adverse reactions other than rupture, capsular contracture, rippling or wrinking, implants broken or ruptured at the time of implantation, loss of implant integrity from revision surgery or open or closed capsulotomy, gel deformation/gel fracture, plus a few others about not covering non Natrelle products (I can list these if you want).

I got this from the Natrelle leaflets I was given by my surgeon. I hope this helps. x

lol no worries girls, I worry that as soon as they have my money they won’t care!! Because it’s a business at the end of the day and the patient coordinators jobs are sales based and I tend to get the impression that it will be a bugger to get any replacements if things go wrong!!

I think after the 5 years as it’s not covered you would have to pay it yourself!

I think rupture is covered for life but I also read that it’s just the implant thats covered for life so you have to pay for the surgery to be done…

    God knows!! lol xx

    Thanks hun!!

It seems that not a lot is actually covered!! Which then makes me think what are the statistics of getting the capsular contrature or rupture??

It’s supposed to be less with the natrelle implants but I have no idea what the rates are :S xx

I think the best estimate for rate of rupture is around 1%, probably less! x
