What makes you so bloated after the op?

I’m one day post op and getting more and more bloated by the hour. Is it the anaesthetic, antibiotics or pain killers? lol i look pregnant xx

all i think a combination,its so uncomfy too,lol.it does get better lol.xxxxxxx

Antibiotics hun. Should get better a week post op though. Well I returned to normal after a week any how but I didn’t take anything for it! Horrible feeling hey xxx

I took a list of the meds to my pharmacy who said it’s the cocodamol making me constipated. They suggested a laxative to take. Worked a treat xxx

yeah they told me the same as misspea – think the anaesthetic does it too – i feel really bloated but it is going down now not taken any laxative just eating lots of fibre and im 5 days post op now. xxx

OMG! I am soo bloated! coupled with cone boobs in a macom I look pregnant! ive had to get some laxatives but its not doing much with the bloated belly

I hope it goes this week, im developing a complex!x

Lol thanks! Haven’t been to the toilet properly since surgery yesterday. Took laxatives this afternoon and barely anything. Lol I’m finding that I’m eating a lot. Very hungry and constantly thirsty and my body is retaining water which is making my stomach worse and really uncomfortable! Hope it sorts itself out!! Xx

Hi girls, i was very bloated post op too. I found that food rich in salt made the matter worse so try and lay off the salt xx

its the anethstetic that causes the bloatiness i came out of surgery like a beached whale after id had my son… and red too… i had a big read face and my nose was twice the size… it was not attractive hahahahahahaha!!!! xxx

Hi girls I’m nearly 3 wks post op and problems with stomach looks fat wobbles and so bloated still. I’m fed up now won’t to enjoy my new body but belly has taken over look preg. I would cry if sumone asked ne when I’m due lol. My toilet going I’d fine now and again.

I was a little on the podgey side weighing 9 1/2 stone before my op. Jumped on the scales just now and I’m dead on 10 stone!!!!! These boobies better hurry up and heal so that I can jump back on the treadmill pronto!!!

Im so glad im not the only one! Im 1 week post op tomoz! Its not good to know that I could be like this for a while longer Im struggling to put my jeans on from the bloated/swelling tummy! Boooooo!! x

hate the preggers look..stomach is killing any 1 else had loss of appetite and feeling sickly?? and laura u prob still look beautiful x

Wish I had loss of appetite! I can’t stop eating! Feeling so hungry and thirsty all the time! X

oh i am struggling..not complaining tho x
