What now?

So upset. A GP at my doctors has told my surgeon not to go ahead so its cancelled But its a GP Ive not even met before so he’s obviously basing it on my computer notes which only contain my hospital dischare notes from nerve pain i suffered two years ago. I can’t believe its not going ahead. Devastated.

I’ve had nerve issues and pain too and I was able to get my op. It’s not fair you should ask to speak to your doc!!! x

I’ve got a docs appointment later to try and get to the bottom of exactly why they would recommend no op. All else fails then yeah I’m gonna have to try and get a refund

This is awful Im glad you’ve made an appointment with your GP as I can’t understand why they would cancel your op because of this! Please let us know how you get on. GOOD LUCK x

I would definitely approach your GP first hun, when was your BA scheduled for? Have you paid the full amount already?

I’m going to make an appointment with my GP to discuss this as I have a feelign the same might happen to me as I have problems with my back.

I’m having physio to strengthen my back at the moment I’ve paid full amount. It shouldn’t matter should it??? I’m gonna book an appt to see doctor anyway to tell him next week! It’s not a major back problem just doing strength exercises to help it!! Surely only major things would interfere right??? I’m scared now! X

miamigirls – following this thread I’ve booked an appointment with my GP for next Weds, I don’t know if Mya have already wrote to them but I’ll be seriously f**ked off if the GP refuses to give consent. I have had back problems since I was a teenager, I have Scoliosis and my back went earlier this year and I was in agony for a few days and ended up going for MRI scans etc but they couldn’t really see what was causing it and advised the same as you to just strengthen my core muscles which is what I should be doing anyway. It hasn’t happened since, touch wood. I wonder if I just pulled something or had a trapped nerve!?! really panicking now as my full amount is due next week x

Yeah I’ll be seeing mine now Monday or Tuesday. Mines on 15th of jan. I don’t see how they could refuse consent as we have no serious prob if all we have to do is strengthen etc. im having every thurs through dec anyway so should no all techniques and exercises etc to be then comfortable etc I’ll be sooo ennoyed if he saiid no as I’ve paid now xxxx

I’d see you GP hun, i had back problems last year i had to have physio and accupuncture at the bottom of my back, i was off work for 3 weeks and i had no problems with having the op!!
