what pain killers have you been given to leave hospital with?

hiya girls, just wondering what pain killers you were given by mya after opp? because im 2 days post op now, in alot of pain and the 500mg co-codamol isnt doing anything for me at all!!! has any1 had stronger 1s? if so how did you get them?

also when does this pain start wearing off? i had unders so its to be expected but its just annoying me now lol, it will all be worth it in the end tho

Hi there i had those cocodamol and paracetamol 1s..i found those actually really strong stopped taking them as made me feel dizzy and weird…ive heard you can get tramodol i think it is meant to be strong 1s…phone the nurse she will advice you..i expect she would tell you to maybe take a higher dose of them or take extra tabs ie paracetamol..like you do when got tooth ache or whatever,,,

your obviously suffering bad with unders..i had overs found pain ok just the awful uncomfy feeling off the new boobs wen getting up etc…just chill out as much as poss..im 4 weeks now and still bit dodgy in morns and swollen bit on left..

keep yaself propped up..ice packs a god send i got those gel packs for the freezer also a hot water bottle between the shoulder blades is relaxing 1 the nurse told me to do xx

hi i took tramodol las nite b4 bed n spent most of today bein sick, i have never felt so bad. my surgeon advised takin paracetomol n ibruprfuen instead. i had unders and am in quite alot of pain i cant open the microwave door wiout it hurtin lol x

The hospital gave me co-codamol,they didn’t touch me,so i got some tramadol from the doctors they really helped if u take 2 they make u off with the fairies and u can get sickness too,takin 1 is usually o.k,but be carefull they all cause contipation so don’t forget the senna lol x

they gave me cocodamol, and they were rubbish, i phoned the doctors and they gave me tramadol which worked good, but i was just tired off it, and lost appetite (but thats not always a bad thing haha)

thanks girls, did you have to go into your doctors? coz my doctors is 30 miles from where i live now! can i get them from mya? or he chemist? x

I got mine from the doctors as they are perscription only,give your doctors a phone and explain u’ve had surgery and you can’t get up there,they should do you a perscription for tramadol,then get someone to pick them up for you,or even still most chemist will pick perscriptions up from the surgery for free,thinking about its the weekend doctors are shut,typical don’t suffer thou phone the doctor out if need be,i know i couldn’t of managed without them,they really helped,i hope u get some relief soon xx

no, i phoned them up and told them i had had an operation on private, and told them the cocodamol were making me sick, and they gave me a perscription and my husband picked them up xx

Hi girls I’ve been given co-dydramol & diclofenac. only taken co-dydramol as of yet.

It appears we have all been given different pain relief?!

hi girls i got some tramadol today, what a god send x

i only got paracetamol, i couldnt take the pain so i got codine took them so a week now im on paracetamol and ibrufen 2 of each 4 times a day
