What should I expect as an overnight case?

Hey girliessss,

I have 14 more sleeps until my BA and nipple lift with Mario Russo at Preston First Trust, excited muchhh! Just wondering what happens when you’re a night case, what time roughly will my admission time be and what time do they usually operate. Saw nurse today and she said not to eat anything 6 hrs before admission, but what if admission is 5pm but don’t actually get operated on until 8pm?? Worried about time as well because I want as long as possible with my bf after coming round before he has to leave. Wish he could just stay with me at the hospital because I’m such a wuss and reckon I’ll be pathetic and clingy once I come round from GA lol x

The over night stays are usually booked into theatre later in the day than day cases. I think when i was there, the day case ops all finished by 2pm. You should be in by then and have your op within 2 hours of admission. You need to stick to what they say in regards to not eating/ drinking anything. Your boyfriend can stay with you as long as he likes. Mine did bless him x

I had overnight at Rochdale for uplift and ba, went in at 7:30 got shown to my room but didnt go down to theatre till about 2:30pm then back in my room about 5:15, hadnt had anything from midnight the night before was hank marving lol my daughter and neice stayed no problem xx

That’s brilliant… Thanks girls. Was thinking my op was going to end up being 8pm or something lol. Will definitely stick to the rules about not eating drinking etc, I’m too much of a scaredy cat in case I die not too lol x

It’s what I do, can’t help it lol. Fortunately my other half is a lot more chilled and go with the flow so he tries to balance me out lol x

I had mine with Mario @ Preston … Expect the most lovely staff and nurses you can Imagine a room like a hotel

Room…. I had a late arrival time of 11 had my op about 3 ish and was walking around about 7 hun xx I ate breakfast at 6ama dn then drank water till 9 ish I think it was all on a form I got off the nurse xx really don’t worry at all I had unders and not a spot of pain I think Mario must be a gentle surgeon hehe xx

Great… At least I won’t get like a 5pm arrival time then. How long did it take you to get there? I’m from same area as you x

I think we left about 9 Hun and we had to stop twice cause when I get nervous I gotta pee hahaha it’s a gorgeous place and really easy it find xx and the journey home was a breeze too so don’t worry I didn’t take a v pillow or anything with me xx

i was an overnight hun, my admission was 3.30pm i went to theatre bout 6.15pm and was back in my room by 7pm watching emmerdale then me and my boyfriend had a 3 course meal!! was lush and only cost my boyfriend £12 to have dinner and breakfast with me xxx p.s Mario is amazing bless him xx

Ohhh I’m so excited…. Wish it was now! Time does seem to be flying by though fortunately. That’s cheap for the food x

it will b here b4 u know it luv and yeah really cheap isn it, i dunno what the food is like in Preston but at highgate we had pate and toast, then steak, mash and veg and then a lush strawberry cheesecake mmmmmmmmmmm and then a full cooked breakie in the morning b4 u r discharged which is ideal lol xx

I had a over night op on saturday at doncaster with mr kazzazi, i got picked up in the car at 7.45 am arrived just before 10am and had op around 1.30 i was comfy and settled enough to have some soup and watch x factor in the evening and got discharged 9am the next morning xxxx

also my mam stayed until 10pm xx

Just wondering.. if u have an overnight case can your boyfriend stay with you at the hospital? I am guessing not as there will be nowhere to sleep? I know my boyfriend wont wana leave me, so im thinking maybe to get a daycase and check into a nearby hotel! Is this the only way we can stay together?xx

I would have done that if I could of but only available slot for my date was overnight. Plus if you go day case think of the extra money you save! X
