what should i expect only 2 weeks to go now!

hi girlys im just wanting some advice ect starting to get so nervous now!!!!
rough idea of pain with overs?? when can i get a bath after?? when can i excersise after??? can i try the implants in the day of surgery to double check?? im between 340-380 you see. how long till they dont look huge!??? till i can have sex??? my boyfriend aint happy about this bit lol xxx

hiya, yay only 2 weeks to go its only natural to be nervous, but you’ll be fine don’t worry!!
I had 380 overs, and i had no pain as such, just more like discomfort (have had 3 children, and believe me, child birth is a lot more painful) I only took painkillers on the day after my op, then didn’t need to take anymore.
Bath – you need to keep your scar area dry, so you can have a shower (bottom half) or shallow bath. Depends if you are bandaged up, i only had 2 square plasters over my scars.
Swelling – started to go after 2/3 weeks, then boobs start to drop slightly and get softer gradually.
Sex- hmmm think they say 6 weeks, we waited nearly 2 weeks lol, but depends how you feel.
Size – you can order both for the day, and let your surgeon decide which one fits best?
Excercise – again about 6 weeks i think.

thanks jaqui! i think im just going into over drive now with nerves!!! its all i think about!!! what size did u go from and to with the 380?? i am not liking the bath thing i love a gud old relaxing soak with candels ect :~( be worth it in the end though! ive had no children but ppl say i have a high pain threshold so am hoping to be ok as could only get 1 week off work am training to b a nurse but if i need more i can always phone in. i am not looking forward to no excercise lol xx

I’m booked for the end of April, but more concerned about the lack of being able to wash properly! The pain thing I’ve accepted (and I’ll be a complete wuss!) but really not liking the prospect of not having a full shower for a week! The boyf had better be happy about washing my hair!! :bigsmile:

I think u’ll struggle going bk to work after a week if u do ward work, I’m a paramedic and waited 6 weeks before going back!its just the heaving lifting u have to be careful of! I could have sex 6days after, was fine, not the best as u can’t really move thought!lol!I managed to wash my own hair over the edge of bath after 6days too and I had unders which are app more painful!just take it day by day and do what feels comfortable!xxx

i dont hun im in the community, might have a week on the wards but im aloud to refuse to lift any ways, and am totaly againest lifting as it is, aww gosh u did well espesh with unders!!! whta size did you have?? im between 340 n 380!!! so hard to decide!! xxx

hiya, me again! hehe don’t worry, it’s only natural to think boobs boobs boobs just before your op!!!! I know i did lol I was a small b cup and am now wearing 34e (or 36dd in La Senza) so very happy with the size and shape. Re: the bath / shower thing, or lack of it, yes it is a pain, but you can have a shallow bath or quickie shower, its just that you shouldn’t get any plasters / bandages wet as that can cause an infection. Also my nurse told me to dry my boobs with a hairdryer and not a towel, again to prevent infection. It is only for a short amount of time, and it is best to be safe than sorry!!! Good to stock up on a load of wet wipes, i found them great for keeping me feeling fresh!
I started driving again at 9 days post op, and also went back to work at 9 days, but it’s office work so i felt okay. Everyone is different, so you just need to see how you feel.
