Hiya I was told it was about 9am. I hope it’s not too much later as I am overnight stay as well. I really wanted a day case as I have 2 children who I will be eager to get home to, I spoke to my PC the day before my consultation with my surgeon and she said there was still day cases available on the day I wanted, then when I went to book it the following afternoon they said there were no day cases available! Wasn’t very happy….

    Hi

I was at Manchester on Monday and was meant to be an overnight stay but they said that I could go home the same day as my op, as I was not in much pain and had eaten and wasn’t feeling sick, I was so made up as my boyfirend had booked a hotel in Manchester so he could be close to bring me home. I got to leave about 8pm I had my op at about 2pm so I think it may depend on the time you have your op to. Hope it all goes well for you xxxx

To be honest i was really looking forward to the break a bit of time on my own away from house work the kids but when it came to it i just wanted to go home to my own bed, i think as long as you have eaten and you dont live more then 40 mins away they will let you go home, i live an hour and a half away but i told them half hour!

my mum had my little one’s for me but my older children went to school as normal, i have an 8 month old little girl and even though i had no pain there was no way i could of looked after her as i couldn’t of picked her up i’m 10 days post op and life is back to busy normal.

you wont get much sleep the first couple of nights so try to be able to get time to yourself in the days after your op to just relax

let me know how you get on, when’s your op and who’s it with ??

    xx

Aw that’s good news, I’m at Highgate on 24th March with Mr Adamo all being well, am just waiting for my anaesthetist to look at my ECG and decide whether I am ok for the GA. I have a mild heart condition but had a GA when I had my tonsils out when I was 16 and had no problems so fingers crossed x x

oh yes i’ve seen one of your messages before on here and i laughed so much when one of the girls on here asked you if she would need to have swabs and an ecg anyway i hope that goes well i’m sure you will be fine,

i had Dr Adamo 340cc overs and i completely love him he made me feel so at ease, he will definatly let you go home as long as your well enough, when is your ecg ?

    xx

Lol, yes I think she panicked a bit! I got the go ahead on Monday, woo hoo! Had to wait a week for the decision as my anaesthetist was on holiday, I was on tenderhooks lol! This time next week I will have boobies!
