Hi there i had my op 5wks ago with mya on a daycase they were fab..

i went to highgate in london.

Basically they give you your admission time couple days prior to your date then when you get there that day my admission time was 9 you go in get settled in your own private room really nice :) tv own nice bathroom etc..

A nurse then shows up to ask you a million questions as they do and gives you the lovely support stockings gown etc and tells you the surgeon will come along next..

anyway after so long i waited about an hr mr adamo my surgeon and the aniatatist came in he had a chat with me about sizes etc and drew the markings on me and she asked questions about the whole knocking me out event and explained what would happen..anyway they go off and after a short while come bk and off you go down to the theatre…all that bit happens wake up you then get taken bk to your room where your looked after really well by the nurses who bring you food drink painkillers ets on tap really good. then once the surgeon is happy and seen you you then head bk to your hotel or home i guess if you live close xx

I hun I was a day case….I’d say it was pretty much the same…as your a day case you’l be given a earlier admission time and have all day to recover. My admission time was 9.30 got to highgate for 9 was taken down to surgery at 10.10 and was back in my room for 11.10. The staff were great, I had snacks, drinks and a lovely 3 course meal before being discharged at about 6ish. Your discharged when your stable and will be given pain relief. I just went straight back to my hotel and slept til the next morning. Good luck huni xx

Hey, just to add, I had a similar experience, really nice. Also, they let you stay as long as you want, I was there till 8pm-ish and they didn’t make me feel rushed at all.

    Hi,

I was a day case yesterday – booked in at 7.30am and was out by 3.20pm..who experience was very relaxed and wonderful and I cant honestly see why anyone would need to pay £500 more just to stay in over night xx
