Hya girls just wondering if its still the american allergan ones also whats the differnces between the CUI’s and inspira responsives? i’ve been offered 525 & 460 by Mario cant decide what ones to get i’m 5ft11 slim build and boobless atm like 32a! im booked on 16th april nervous but excited! thanks for the help girlies really appreciate it! would be lost without this forum….defo one of the reasons i choose MYA! XXXX
Yes, MYA use Allergan implants. The CUI’s are no longer approved in the US but the inspira responsives are. The inspiras have a wider range of projections and profiles and are filled more so there is less risk of rippling. They also have the trademark biocell textured outer shell which reduces the risk of capsular contracture and rupture. They have a longer guarantee and the new gel or ‘gummy bear’ silicone is used in the inspiras which does not leak if the implant ruptures and therefore you will not be left with unsightly scar tissue whereas the CUI’s use the old style liquid silicone. My advice to you would be to just pay the extra £400 for the inspiras. I had to have them as my implants are above 525cc’s and I’m really pleased. I started as a full 34B and I went up 7 cup sizes and mine feel so soft and natural even though they don’t look it. Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of ladies who have had CUI’s and are very pleased with them and have never had any problems but I personally wanted that extra bit of reassurance. I felt that the pro’s outweighed the cons for such a small amount of money to pay extra. Both implants are very high quality so I’m sure you will be happy with whatever you choose, I just wanted to highlight the significant differences between the two.

Here is a video you may find useful, ignore the part about the saline implant though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vFyAEgqJSw&feature=player_embedded
Good luck x
Where CUI’s ever approved in america? I did not think they had the FDA approval and were not ever used …..
There is eff all wrong with the CUI’s, if there was then why do so many girls have these? And also even tho they say natrelle are lifetime guarantee – thats b******* because all implants have to be replaced after so many years ! X
I was told the CUIs are NOT filled with liquid saline they are the gummy bear type – i.e. if they are cut they don’t leak as such!
I am not 100% sure that dolly has this correct, and if she does I’m very worried as this is NOT the information I have recieved and I will be getting my BA done tommorow with CUIs!!
The main difference is that the more expensive implants have extra layers around them compared with the CUI’s, which is why they have the extra guarantee (though this ONLY covers the cost of the implant and certainly not all of the surgery). They also come in more projections/styles etc so there is more choice for the surgeon.
If the surgeon had said they could acheive much better results for the extra money I would have paid it, but the surgeon never mentioned anything.
Not only that, i reckon the CUIS are ALOT softer than the natrelle ! Even my PC agreedx
The reason I chose Natrelle is because the way they are made reduces the risks of certain problems people have with implants such as rupture and capsular contraction.
It was extra peace of mind for me and only a small amount extra to pay.
CUI implants are still high quality implants so it’s a matter of personal preference.
x
yeah I thought that too staceyanne! I know you can get different levels of “softness” in the inspira ones though.
I have done some “googling” and I am right, the CUIs are coheisive gel, the same as the inspira ones. Its the outer shell thats different. (Just wanted to clarify this for any girls reading this and getting stressed out like I was!)
(p.s. I’m not trying to say the inspira ones aren’t worth the extra money for peace of mind. The main reason I didn’t go for them is a) the surgeon didn’t suggest which I go for either way and b) I’ve not had kids yet, and would like em in future so no doubt I’ll need a reop at some point)
Okay calm down girls, before my BA I went to lots of consultations and I was told that they use a different type of silicone in the CUI’s and I assumed that was the old style one. As mentioned before both implants are high quality and ruptures occur very rarely. She asked about the differences between the two so I told her. I’m not knocking anyone’s choice at all….And as far as softness is concerned I think it is down to the individual woman because a friend of mine has the CUI’s and they are only 525’s but they feel far firmer than my 800’s. Everyone’s different I suppose….
Everyone has to go thru a re op at some point whether its 10 15 or 20 years so what happens with the ‘lifetime guarantee’ then? I bet that lifetime guarantee really only actually means 10yrs, smallprint ! If the natrelle ones felt softer than the CUI i wud have gone for them but they didnt, infact there was a massive difference in softness ! CUIs all the way for me xx
Yeah well as mentioned before everyone is different and therefore will have different outcomes and as someone who actually has implants I can safely say that mine feel very soft x
Yep I agree dolly, deffo personal preference. Just wanted to correct the silicone thing cos it scared me! I know the outershell is very different though the inspira habe like 8 outer layers vs cui’s having only one, this means theres less chance of rupture – can only be a good thing!
No the guarantee is for the lifetime of the implants, obv if you need a reop for a reason other than an implant defect this isn’t covered. However the guarantee only covers rupture of the implant, and will not cover the total cost of surgery. You get replacement implants and some money towards the surgery.
Ohwell, hopefully everyone is happy with the final result regardless of which implants they go for!
This was all cleared up by mya mod few weeks back sayin that both types are cohesive gel, don’t know why people still telling others its old style when its not, also cui have never been used in America xx
Thanx Hannah 24 – i did not think that CUI has ever been used in America hence they are not FDA approved.
And what type of implants do the americans use then?
The only reason cuis havnt been fda approved is because they havnt been put forward? There uk approved so thats all im bothered about
A similar post came up just before my op, with 6 days to go an implants already chosen was in mad panicky tryin to find out why they stopped them in America, found out they never were, then few days after op almost identical post from dolly sayin it old silicone but took few seconds lookin for cui book 2 clear that up for myself, but don’t find it good idea for people to be sayin things like this worrying peop who already worried about upcoming op when lot of the info not even correct, rant over, ps not sayin whole post wrong just bits i mentioned, there are obviously advantages to having naturelles or they wouldn’t be an upgrade xx
Exactly stacey not even like they failed test or anything, but all eu approved, il sleep happy enough with my cui, love them, will love them even more when they fluff xx
I was just passing on what I was told so please don’t try and cause drama. Now I know that is not the case so obviously I will be passing that on too of this question comes up again. Sorry for any confusion but I misunderstood what was told to me…..it was a genuine mistake, everyone makes them so I think you need to calm down x
Hi ladies
Please be assured that both CUI and Natrelle ranges are of a proven quality and contain a cohesive silicone gel however, Natrelle offers a little bit more in terms of the shell, the texture of the implant, the guarantee which it comes with and that all complements its much broader range of implant choice.
If you have any questions about the implants you have chosen please do get in touch.
Many thanks
MYA Mod x
