When I first joined the forum about 3/4 weeks ago I read nothing bad, no complaints etc and now their’s at least one a day and I’m starting to get worried my BA’s in 19 days and I’ve payed £1000 deposit so can’t back out now and go else where.

I’ve had no problems myself but so many people are!

Is there a new admin system or something?

My dad will go insane if my op day or hospital is changed, I’ve had to arrange stuff with my lecturers, my mum and dad are both taking the day off work as well and neither will drive me to any other hospital only preston!

Does any body know if anything changes or goes wrong if I could get my £1000 back?

Sorry for the long post just getting anxious xx

I’m the same as you Amy, not had my date moved YET but i joined about 4/5 weeks ago nothing but good story’s now booked and all

Pain for and keep reading alot of negative things about MYA my opps not until 6th January but iv booked two weeks off work as holiday as I’m not telling anyone about BA so if my date was to be moved how would I explain that at work and also child care for my children iv booked my youngest into nursery so I’m not lifting her etc. Does anyone know if it the same surgeon or hospital cancelling and changing? When you spend all that money you want the best service possible and not to be messed about.

I do know girls on here have had some issues and not detracting from them but you are more likely to see problems and worries on here than positives.

Once people have had their op they tend to use the forum for advice when they are worried about something or to voice a problem they’ve had however very few girls stay on to offer advice to the pre op people ( I no there are some post op girls who are brilliant and do help everybody) if they are doing fine in their recovery and don’t have questions. People just move on and I no I felt like boobs took over my life in the run up to my op so now I don’t come on very often as I’m really happy with mine, don’t have any question and just want to enjoy my new lease of life.

There’s alot of happy customers out there do stay positive and I’m sure all will go well for you x

    Menu

Thanks girls, I suppose some people will moan about anything!!

    Just going to stay positive

Staceygill1- I’m in preston for my OP whats the hospital like for time keeping? my dad’s really impatient and will get mad if my times are changed

I think with the amount of people MYA are dealing with on the whole, the negatives on this forum are few, when you consider there are literally thousands of members, also if you consider that not everyone uses the forum so this makes the numbers even higher,Ive been on the forum for several months,I have looked at other forums, most I have to add have a lot of negative feed back,I will be using MYA in the near future for my Rhinoplasty,I have had several cosmetic procedures with other companies, the person who created this forum gave us a place to air our views good and bad,the support on this forum is unbelievable,I believe this is a huge part of the MYA after care, over the last couple of days I have seen several negative posts,I have also seen the moderator address these issues almost immediately,I would have no hesitation in contacting the moderator if I could not get hold of my PC or nurse, this forum will be my security blanket,is my security blanket.

I know from reading recent threads it has been for many other members too, stay positive. For pre op members look forward to your procedure enjoy the journey and excitement, for post op members happy healing,if you get a problems, and you can not get your contact your PC, or get your answers from the forum ask the moderator.xxx

    Good Morning ladies,

We would just like to reassure you that hospital dates and locations only change in exceptional circumstances.

At MYA we take every step possible to ensure all operation dates go according to plan. Unfortunately, in a handful of instances there has been a reason why this cannot be the case, for example, a surgeon has been ill or there have been unforeseen circumstances at a particular hospital.

If you have any questions or worries about your own operation date please don’t hesitate to contact your PC or send a me message and I will look into this for you straight away.

My date and location was changed as follows:

    7th July @ Rochdale to 6th July @ Preston.

MYA arranged for my transport there and back courtesy of them – in all honesty it worked out better for me.

My PC was fantastic, the hosp staff amazing and my surgeon is a star.

I really cany moan about anything really – I wud recommend MYA to anyone. So happy with my results.

If there was one thing i would say to improve is the appt system when going to clinic – they are always running late.

Apart from that I cant fault them at all.

    Thanx MYA

Hi! I have to say I was very happy with MYA. I have got a great patient co-ordinator who is always ready to help me and my surgeon is very good too however… I was due to have my op on the 10th of November but received a phone call from the nurse yesterday that one of the swabs came back positive and I need a treatment which is going to delay my surgery by 3 weeks. That is fine, it is better to be safe than sorry but I booked my op on the 14th of October and if they knew that there is a possibility of a possible delay, why didn’t they book me for them swabs straight away? Why wait further 2 weeks? Now I lost money for the hotel I booked, need to re-arrange my days off, never mind that I wanted to go to my country (Poland) for Christmas and if I have my op by the very end of November, how am I suppose to fly on my own when you can’t lift anything heavy or lift your arms up. I don’t want to have the op after Christmas because I still have loads of days off for this year and don’t want to waste my time off work for the next year straight after Christmas. This hole situation could have been organised a little bit better I think but I just have to accep it now, apart from this no complaints at all xx

Hi hun, i have had a great experience with mya. I had an infection in my scar and was straight up to the nurse, and i sat there crying one day and they were fab, mya as a whole have been fab with me. Im def gona have my lipo with mya. xxx

    Menu

thanks!:) it’s good to hear positive stories like when I first joined the forum:) xx

I must say my case was extreme and i do feel that girls should post both positive and neagtive feedback on the forum thats extactley why its here for so the patients / customers can voice their concerns and opinions. I paid for three procedures however was only booked in for the two and was only told 5 days before the op as you can appreciate thats a huge breakdown of communication on MYAs behalf !!!Yes I’ve had an appology from the top MD of MYA and theres an ongoing investigation but that does not excuse the fact that i have not had what i wanted.

I dont want to put anyone off booking with Mya im now 4 days post op and the care i had when in Highgate was excellent the nurses were very caring and kind, i dont think they make mistakes like mine very often, but members should feel free to post the truth be it negative or postive without feeling like they shouldnt upset the apple cart !

How did your ops go mummymakeover? And how is the recovery so far?

    Menu

Hi Pincess yeah the op went well so i was told had to stay in for an etra night because they could not controll the pain and they had ordered the wrong size garment. But home now :-) feeling really sore but thats only to be expected hoping the swelling will go down in a few days so i can start to to see the results. The pain was pretty bad the second day a part of me is glad i didnt have the BA the same time i’m gonna let my body recover and if i still want the ba maybe i’ll treat myself next year x Thanks for asking hun x

    Menu

Are they still sticking to the thing that you hadnt paid for the BA? X

I would imagine that would have been a massive recovery, although it’s a pain having to go back in another time it’s prob better for your body to recover fromm this one first, it can be pretty touch for some after an op. Sorry to hear you were in pain, hope the results are all you wanted and more, good luck!
