whats the difference between high pofile and low profile xx

is it a dif as to where they sit in the breast im having ho profile overs but the surgeon never even mentioned a profile i had to find this out by ringing mya and asking what i was having x

i belive low profile are used for a very natural look! im haing high because i want volume and dont have much tissue! x

where the implant sits! high is higher up the chest, moderate im guessing is middle an low is lower lol u can get extra high aswell! think that may be too much though! x

it isnt to do with where they sit at all, it is projection. A low implant will sit in exactly the same place as a moderate or a high profile. the high will project alot more than the low profile, if someone has quite a bit of breast tissue but just wants to fill it out and maintain a natural look then a low may be suitable to put back lost volume etc. The projection is in the middle of the implant.

does it affect the size outcome like would high profile make a bigger size them bigger than low profile?

If you go to the booby bible somewhere on the first few pages there is a link you can use a virtual model you can use it to see what a low, moderate and high profile look like.

Im quite wide and wanted a natural look the base of a moderate implant is wider than a high profile, the projection of mine was 4.1cm the higher profile equivalent was 4.8cm so not even a full cm difference in projection between them. Basically it took the edge of the implant at the widest point to minimise the football look.

If you can imagine if you took a high ball slim glass and a shorter wider glass and filled them with 300mls of water the slim glass would come up higher. Thats a bit like projection.

misslealea, that you would have to ask your surgeon, I would like to say no as the volume is the same ive gone from a 32A to a 32DD with 330cc, its more to do with the shape of your breasts the surgeon measures them. mine were a bit wider so the base of a High profile would of been narrower so I would have had to have had a larger implant in cc’s to fill my breast pocket which would of looked unnatural so thats why I had the moderate I hope this is making sense.

Its really something your surgeon would decide for you based on the information you give him and the size of your natural breasts etc, I asked for a natural look, some like a fake look etc.
