When can I remove stockings

2 days post op and still no pain. Having a bath this evening just wandering if it’s okay to leave stockings off after this xx

I have. I took mine off when I had a bath couple hours ago, I’m ok so far. Xx

I took mine off when I got back to hotel after the op they were annoying me! Xx

You should be ok to take them off now. I was told a couple of days xx

Thank god for that feels so good to get them off lol. Glad you’re feeling ok Samantha. I can’t believe how normal I feel still 🙂 heard days 3+4 are usually bad xx

Glad you’re feeling well too. 🙂 I know, I’m quite surprised I feel so normal. My back aches though, can’t get used to the weight of them and sleeping upright is uncomfortable. I’ve hardly taken the pain killers don’t feel I need them yet, but now and again when I get up I can feel a pain as if the strapping is stuck to stitches and is tugging on it, then it goes away. Think I’m sort of bracing myself for the next couple of days lol fingers crossed day 3 and 4 won’t be too bad for us!!

I think it depends, what did your nurse say? I had to keep mine on for three days xx

Really? I took them of in the hospital! I wasn’t told to wear them lol x

My nurse said to take them off when I got home from the hospital

My nurse said keep on as long as poss but not to exceed 3 days.. just about managed 2 and half days hated them especially at bedtime xx I have the same sensation Samantha just the feeling of tugging when I get up from sitting/lying down. Haven’t used any pain killers yet saving them incase it does get worse lol. Strapping is starting to itch in cleavage area now and I get the odd twinge and shooting pain in boob but nothing unbearable xx
