    Hi All,

I’m nearly 3 weeks post-op now and not getting a proper nights sleep on my back:-( When are you allowed to sleep on your side?? It feels a bit uncomfortable if I try and lie on my side and I’m scared about squishing my new boobies!

Im 3 weeks today. When I saw my nurse after 1 week she said if it felt ok I could sleep on my side from then. I did, it was a little uncomfy at first and hard to turn over but after a few nights it got better and better. Now I sleep great, no probs.

i couldnt sleep on my side for quite a few weeks after my BA and it was driving me mad! When i started i felt soooo uncomfortable but you just get used to it. I positioned by v-pillow to support me at first. Still havent mastered sleeping on my belly though and i had my op 12th October, it all takes time.

I have always slept on my side, so got awful back-ache after my op. I tried sleeping on my side at 3 weeks, but after 5 mins had to roll back onto my back. But, at 4 weeks i was fine and have been sleeping on my side since then. Hopefully you should feel comfortable on your side soon x

Yeah, snuggles are difficult for the first few weeks! My Fiance was a bit upset at first that he couldn’t give me a proper cuddle:-( Oh well, he likes my new boobs so hopefully they made up for it, lol! It’s getting easier now though.

I alternated between sleeping on my side and my back last night and it was a bit better. Strange, but I slept really well the first week when I was propped up on my V-pillow! Think it was the painkillers, I was out like a light once I’d had them! Since then I don’t think I’ve slept properly, feel really tired now I’m back at work:-(

    xx
