when can i start horse riding again?????

ive got my surgery booked for aaugust 17th but my job is riding dressage horses and currently have 4 to ride daily but have organised 4 week cover?? help

I haven’t had my op… but I am a rider, and from talking to other girls on here it seems to be min 6-8 weeks. I would have thought if you are on sensible horses that are light in your hand you are more likely to be ok… if you are backing youngsters or have got something that is likely to pull you or spook, I would wait longer if you could. At the end of the day you’re paying a lot of money for it and you want to be able to heal properly.

Personally it’ll probably be months after before I ride, my mare was PTS this weekend and I don’t plan on having another xx
